My goals. Hmmm. That's a tough one cause ultimately I just want to be happy with myself and healthy for my 2 kids.

But my high weight is 320

I believe the last time I weighed myself I was at 315. My ultimate ultimate goal would be to be 155. But honestly I think I would look gross that size. I am aiming for 175 for now.

My goal is to be fit not skinny. My goal is to not be defined by my size when shopping for clothes, I don't want to be "plus size". I want regular calf boots instead of not even extended calf boots. I want to be able to get pregnant. I want my family and friends and even myself see a version of me that is hidden under this weight. I want to workout or hell finish my day without getting tired or aching. I want to be able to buy bras and clothes at Walmart or Target or Victoria Secret any other store I want instead of doing my shopping online because stores don't carry bras or jeans in my size. My goal is it use this tool to help me get to better version of me, but still be me.

@@StephanieJ713 - YES!!!! I love, love, love your post. Because that is exactly what I want. To be able to just do things that thinner people take for granted every single day. I went hiking with my 8 year old for his birthday and my knees hurt so badly that I could hardly move for a day. That is NOT the life that I want. That is NOT the mom that I want to be. I just want to look in the mirror and see a reflection that is closer to how I feel on the inside. ^_^

@@smb0187 - 175 is an *awesome* goal. Can you even imagine?! I was talking to my regular doctor this morning and she said that this surgery is so much more successful for people who are doing it for a better reason than just losing weight. You and I have the best reasons in the world!! In my mind, I have this image of me playing with my kids and them having to try and keep up with *me*. We're on our way!

@ - You and me can be goal twins! It sounds like we'll be working along together. (It's so nice to have surgery buddies. Seriously.)

Pre-op appointment with my regular GP today. She gave me a prescription for meltaway Zofran and liquid Lortab for post-surgery. I'm reading and doing my worksheets in "Emotional First+Aid Kit for Bariatric Patients" and "Ultimate Gastric Sleeve Success." Do you guys have any books and websites that you're finding to be really helpful?

-Becca

I just want to be truly healthy. I have such a wonderful husband and I want to be able to grow old with him. I want to be able to be active with him - ride bike, walks on the beach, dancing - w/o having to stop and rest. It would be so wonderful to buy clothes in regular stores. I travel with my job and I would love to be able to get on the plane and not worry about getting a seat extender or if there is going to be another large person beside me. I am currently 308 and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see 150 but for now I am going to aim for 175.

I love North Florida!

We live in Utah, but we just moved here from North Carolina and that will always be home to me.

I've never been to Utah but I have family in SC, NC and TN. I love it up there!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
