@@layknee I'm not sure what the name of that med is. I am still waiting for them to call the RX in for me. I have been really good with my pain meds. Every 4 hours. Plus it is helping me sleep, so I'm getting that rest.

@@Beni one thing I am looking forward to is cutting up my Lane Bryant credit card and replacing it with a Victoria Secret card. ;). Here are some more:

2. Wearing a Halloween costume without feeling like a stuffed sausage.

3. Spending a day at Disney (I live in Florida) without my feet and legs being in so much pain I can barely walk for days after.

4. Wearing a bikini! Not sure about that one though since my stomach looks like it has been butchered.

5. Rocking that sexy little black dress and heels.

Woohoo! Good ones I like 4 & 5. Not sure I'm brave enough for a bikini though I'd like to be able to; and the perfect little black dress priceless although I'd look like a newborn foal in heels. Lol

Great ideas @kimodell69. Love the black dress and heels.

I do wear heels sometimes but after about 30 minutes I have to sit down and I am sure I look like a whale wearing heels. I don't do it very often because it is so uncomfortable. Not sure if I am going to manage a bikini but I would love an awesome swimsuit. Yes, on the halloween costume, so over being the ugly witch, the giant pumpkin or the queen of hearts. I'm going to be something sexy next year.

Going on my honeymoon and actually feel sexy (been married 3 years and have yet to go to our honeymoon). We are planning on going in June.

Wearing a cute swimming suit that fits.

Get out of plus size clothing stores.

And the biggest one of them all: to actually feel Beautiful.

Hey everyone! So, today is my first day alone since a few days before my surgery, I am now a week out. I'm not cleared to drive yet either, because my post op isn't til tomorrow...haven't taken any pain meds, but I'm afraid to chance it. I thought I'd be fine with it, I usually like to have some quiet time. But I'm super lonely and feeling kind of sad and depressed :( I don't know why?

I can relate. Have been enjoying the time off work to get used to all the changes, but I feel sad. I think slowly moving through all the stages is wearing on me. I'm only one week post-op too! Just trying to keep a positive attitude ????

Back in 2010 when I had lost 85 pounds (with lap band) I was at 175. I went to Vegas with my best friends and I had a swimsuit from Lands End. It was a tankini top and a short skirt bottom. The top had rushing (how the heck do you spell that?) So it was very flattering. I LOVED how I felt in it!! Oh. The top had underwire in it too so it held up the saggy girls! I cannot wait until I can get into it again!! It was a regular size 16 I think.

I went to work today for 4 hours. Oh my goodness, I was in so much pain by the time I left. I rested for a few houra, then went for a nice long walk (holding my belly most of the way). We walked to my parents house and then my mommy drove me home. I couldn't have walked back. Having more sharp pains tonight, (rather than a deep ache) but it's still right at that incision site.

Called the Dr.s office today to see if there was a liquid tylenol they could prescribe. ( a friend told me she had gotten some a few years ago) they said they can't get it anymore. She suggested just cutting my pills.

I hate swallowing pills. Oh well.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
