Im a Kaiser peep, using the South Sac location. My surgery date was changed from 10/2 to 11/6 due some health issues. But Im clear to go now and just have one last dr appointment for my post op diet class. Is anyone else in November or have kaiser? I had lots of peeps on my October list but now I have a new date and would love to have some others to follow along with and share our journeys..

Waiting on my insurance approval and they said would probably have surgery in November. Getting NERVOUS.

My mom's side of the family gets together every Thanksgiving. It's the side of my family that my size comes from. I have no problems with anyone knowing but I don't see these guys very often. It'll be fun seeing if they notice how I'm eating. Or better yet, NOT eating. Lol

Hi there! Just joined the site! My surgery is scheduled for November 10th!!! I'm so excited!! No nerves yet...although as the day gets closer I am sure those nerves will show up!! Starting to buy vitamins and protein shakes in preparation. Healthy me....here I come!!!!

Good morning. For all those that have started your pre op diet, what protein shake are u using? I can't find one that tastes good.

I love the body fortress brand that you can get at Walmart. Also like Isopure. I mix one scoop of chocolate with the banana and it's pretty yummy.

However, I just found a local nutritional store that makes their Protein and I love it. It's very thin and not chalky at all. The strawberry and the banana both are delicious by themselves.

@ Electick! How cool we are surgery day buddies! For those looking for protein powder I use Nectar. I love it. I also bought Isopure unflavored for mixing into broth and other things.

@@mz.newlife54 I've been drinking Lean Body. They're ready made shakes and are amazing. Vitamin Shoppe sells them in the 17oz and some Walmarts sell them in 14oz but only in vanilla and chocolate.
