Sweetie, you know your man better than any of us. It doesn't sound like the situation warrants your apology over his, but my point was that sometimes it's better to reach out and keep the peace. I don't think you should call him and apologize for something he did, but call him and let him know you love him. Even though you are angry.

The thing is, it's not really his fault or my fault. It just spun out of control because I was so upset. I'm still pissed (just in general, not at him) but I just want some peace at this point. Problem is, I don't know how to back out of it without feeling like a doormat. Any suggestions?

Hi Eddie, first, thanks for the info on the hungries and fills, really helped! I can't pretend to give advise on the peace and war going on with your hubby, I just had my own blow out with my wife! that's why I didn't come back sooner. Been real tense around here, but I know from yrs of this that it will get back to normal and things will be all happy again. It's a process! But you need to let it go the doormat thing go. I'm the "sean " of our marrage, I get the calls about work and must take them, It's really hard to balance life sometimes , for me it's an over kill of responsibility and probably poor boundry issues, but it pays the bills!!! we get over it ! We've been together since 94, had a few rough spots, but last October, went to P Town and got hitched for real for life!! It's a good thing! Let me know how the fill went. hope I can keep up with you all, this is a fast moving thread!

We were going to go up and get married (legally) next spring, but after same-sex marriage was legalized, Mitt Romney (who could be our next president) dredged up a 1913 state law that states that if your marriage would not be legal in your home state that you can't get married in MA. You guessed it - FL is one of the states that enacted "Defense of

Marriage" legislation. Oh well, maybe one day...

I did talk to Sean last night. Things aren't perfect yet, but they're better. I'm going to call him later this morning and see if we can't close this ugly chapter once and for all...

Pamela-

I'm not Cheri but I'm going to P-town in August. It's Provincetown MA, the tip of Cap Cod. It's one of the gay meccas in the US.

The others that come to mind are:

Key West

Miami

San Fransicso

Provincetown

Can other people add to the list?

Juli

Tell him what you told us. That you want to make peace without feeling like a doormat. Be assertive about your feelings and hopefully he will respect them.

:clap2: North Hampton, Ma!!! Big les town, if I were to move I would like to go there. My honey wants to go warmer, but I want to go where I'm welcome. "........*#!% Romney!!! other than Mit, Mass is really fairly gay friendly, especially the Vineyard, where I live. Maybe now that we just got the vote to "not vote" (on the news tonight!!!!) other states will follow! For now, Mass is safe till at least 2012 when the next opportunity will come up for the opposition.

Eddie, glad to hear things are better. thought about moving up here? you could do a summer/winter thing , and do your thing!

Believe it or not Columbus Ohio is very Lesbianie. When the Lesbian Connection does a grouping by zip code of their mailing address, my zip and the neighboring one are always in the top 5 nationally.

If you don't know the Lesbian Connection or LC or Elsie, is it's a grass roots lesbian magizine that's been aroung 30 years and still going strong. It's humble but great.

night ya'll. Stay cool.

Eddie

Where's your post? I got it in my email but it's not on here? LBT is something some times.

Your ADHD joke made me laugh out loud!

Not seeing the honey this weekend but flying into Chicago next Friday for their Pride weekend. Woo hoo.

The Newport Aquarium is pretty good, in Newport KY. But I'm not huge on watching fish swim. The kiddo loves it though.

Take care and squeeze that man. Kisses,

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
