Stage 4 frustration

Hi Guys!

Sooo..... I'm on stage 4 now, I've been there since last week; HOWEVER, it's becoming a huge hassle .

Breakfast:

1 Protein

1 starch

1 fruit

lunch:

protein

starch

veggie

fruit

Um, I can barely get the protein in, after two bites of protein I start burping and feeling so full, I might as well tip over. So I went back to yogurt, and Protein shakes. My PA says she knows I'm scared but I have to move on to stage 4 and eventually stay there. My problem is I cannot get any of that food in, and the less I eat, the less weight I lose. She wants me to set up an eating plan so I'm getting at least 500-600 calories in, but Um... How?!

I never thought eating would become so frustrating. Any tips on how to get this food in? Some days I feel as if I'm eating and drinking every hour on the hour. top of the hour: food, then I wait an hour drink, the next hour food. If I don't do this, I can't get it all in. I don't like the fact that my day revolves around getting protein in. I know it get's easier, but right now I feel like a slave to food all over again. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you!

Kandis

PS I'm also getting tired of protein shakes, but that's a whole other beast :)

New to fourm...I am not able to keep any food down! Frustrating is the fact that I continually try and eat. Scale hasn't moved this week. Post op since August 1 and 60 pounds lighter but saddened at the fact I may never enjoy food again. I keep telling myself "this is what you signed up for" .

If you are not keeping foods down then maybe you should connect with your doctor. Being this far out you should be able to.

@@cfiesta oh no that's no good @@motherof5 is correct you should definitely contact your doctor. This is NOT what you signed up for you should be able to keep food down. Don't think that vomiting is going to be your new way of life because it's not how it's supposed to be.

Are you practicing mindful eating? Chewing slow, taking small bites? Listening to your tummy when it's starting to tell you, you're full? I haven't had vomiting happen to me but I did have a lot of foam come up the first time I ate baked chicken again being greedy.

I went to the phantom gourmet food festival today and I had lobster rolls (without the roll of course), and oyster cerviche and my tummy loved it. I was excited because I got to eat veggies for the first time and all went well!

@ I heard that about the gummy vitamins but baby food? Thanks for the tip. Trader Joes has these adult gummy vitamins that I used to take and my NUT made me stop, because even those were no good.

Gummies aren't digested very well with sleeves and they aren't considered a high potency Vitamin. I figure that since we have these spendy little tummies, we might as well put the best stuff possible into them. My nut said that it is kind of like putting bad gas/oil or not maintaining a Bentley. ;)
