  4. Im sorry I know you are crushed...it took me 5 years of rejections and options to finally get approved which amazed me because my diabetes was uncontrolled with A1C of 14 %! Literally felt as I was just not gonna wake up one day....prayers for you, stay strong :-)
  5.    SarahSmile reacted to a post in a topic: Stomach so confused - 5 days postop
  6. What I havent mentioned in this thread was that I had developed acute pancreatitis ,which beside from being horribly painful it makes my sugar jump from near normal to 250-350+ range! Learning alot from you guys! Thank you....
  7. Sorry for your pain...I too have been fighting panreatitis since One week post op. Cant keep any food down and was hospitalized for two weeks to hydrate. I know you are frustrated ,and one of the reasons I am so happy to have found this fourm. You are not alone! Many on here have gone through the same triumphs and tribulations. Know that I and others are praying for you and your comfort...
  8. My tummy pain hurts from mid rt in the Front of my abdomen straight thru to my back. The hunger however is more left sided and I can sip enough fluid to stop it for a time.
  9. Love the chart! Great confidence booster...all you see is the seemingly steady decline in weight. Gonna make me one for sure
  10. I am trying a few of them today....mashed black beans and chew, chew, chew! So far so good I also wanted to know if anyone has suffered pancreatitis post surgically? I have been readmitted to the hospital twice each for five days with elevated Lipase levels. Unusual because I don't drink alcohol, and I never have. I did have type II Diabetes that was for the most part uncontrolled! Even with mega doses of insulin.
  11. Thank you for your suggestion...my surgeon says that I don't ever have to eat! Sounds insensitive but with my starting weight of 370 , it is probably true:) Doc says to get my liquids in me. Wish I didn't want to eat compulsively.
  12. New to fourm...I am not able to keep any food down! Frustrating is the fact that I continually try and eat. Scale hasn't moved this week. Post op since August 1 and 60 pounds lighter but saddened at the fact I may never enjoy food again. I keep telling myself "this is what you signed up for" .
