JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP
Hello Everyone, I was sleeved on July 30th, I'm starting to feel like my old but new self. I'm getting my Protein shakes down and all the Vitamins that I'm required to get, haven't noticed my hair falling out as of yet, and hope that doesn't happen, I have so little to begin with. I started in a 12-13 size pants and i'm now down to a size 7-8 . Shirts were xl or xxl and now down to a m-L , it has been many many years since i was this size . I love the compliments and that ppl are starting to really notice, makes it all worth while . I feel good!!!! I love this sight, it really does help especially in the beginning with the stalls, the wondering if you will ever be able to get all you need in one day sometimes it was very overwhelming so I would like to say thank each of you for sharing your stories, God Bless you all!!!!

I use herbalife , i add my protein in with it and the taste is wonderful, usually get the Cookies and cream . Their shakes are only 24 grams of protein, mine is 34 grams so with both i have most of my protein for the day, still eat the high protein foods for the extra though.- If you went to mexico for your gastric sleeve surgery, who was your doctor and how much did it cost?
I do not know about sewing over the staples, but was checked for leakage before I left and was given the x-rays to take home.

Asking all you post sleevers: What do you wish you had known or done before surgery?

Good Morning, I went to TJ Mexico and my Dr. Was Dr. Almanza on July 31st. Was 4300.00 plus the round trip ticket to San Diego. I'm very happy with the results and Dr. Almanza and his staff were amazing . I highly recommend them . Good Luck and best wishes. :-)- Asking all you post sleevers: What do you wish you had known or done before surgery?
Just a FYI, I have been taking my Protein (34 Grams in a scoop) to herbal life and having them add it to the Cookies and cream shakes, OMG they are delicious and they also give me extra calories (which I need at this point) and also extra protein and they taste amazing, they also have helped with BM's. Myfitness pal is my best friend and has helped me tremendously . I would highly recommend this app. I'm 11 weeks post op and I finally feel like myself again. Just curious can you see my tickler on this post? The shake is Vitasport protein 7 , you can buy it at nutri shops, it is fairly new but has the highest grams of protein 34grams in one scoop.

I like most others wished I would have measured myself. The stalls really stink, but don't be depressed or stressed over this the weight will come off eventually. Know that when you are able to enjoy foods that your jaws will hurt for weeks, so i wished i had actually chewed my food 20-25 times just to become use to it. I have no regrets now and I love me now more than ever. I wish you all the luck in the world. I was sleeved on July 30th-have now lost 40 pounds, 20-25 more to go...- great site to research surgeons in Mexico
I had my surgery in TJ Mexico with Dr. Almanza in July 2014 , and have had no complications. :-)- August post op sleevers: Check in
Good Morning, Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Just wanted to update I'm 7 weeks post op, I have lost a total of 37llbs since surgery. I feel wonderful , I stated doing the MyFitnessPal, this has truly helped me . I can count everything and make sure I'm getting what I need . I had been stuck on the same weight for about 2 weeks but that has passed and I'm so glad. I get to start working out now and I'm really excited about that. I'm really glad that I did the surgery, I know that first week I wondered if i had done the right thing, but I have no regrets now. So keep up the good work and stay positive. :-) Oh and I do have a question where does everyone get the body weight ticker? Would like to have that.- What's A High Protein Drink?
For my pre opt I used the GNC Lean 25 , come in vanilla choc, or strawberries and cream. The strawberries and cream was my fav. Cannot drink them no more became sick of the taste , but started off good. I do the Vitasport Protein 7 now vanilla flavor, it is 34 grams of protein in one scoup and you can mix with many things. I get the Vitasport from Nutri shop. Good Luck. :-)- Gastric Sleeve Experts... Please Chime In!
Hey Josie, Just curious when you was there in mexico, I had my surgery on July 30th, and I was that person who couldn't keep the purple liquid down and was already vomiting the clear while he was taking the xray. Just curious. :-)- August post op sleevers: Check in
I do the injections because I'm already so tired of taking vit , shakes etc. I mean I still take them but at times it can be overwhelming. So I do the b12 injections , your doctor can order that for you. it gives me energy. Also you can get the B12 pills that desolve under the tongue, they say those work as well.- August post op sleevers: Check in
Yes I do a b12 shots once a month, but thinking maybe I should do this twice a month . And I will try increasing my D3. Thank you for the information, Btw I love this sight. :-) - Herbalife
