What brand/store? @@MyssJones

For the B12 is the sublingual kind from Walgreens. I forget the brand but it's 5000mcg.

How did you all get your hair done for the surgery? I was gonna just slick it into a ponytail but I want to look cute when people visit me!

I got Senegalese twists 3 days before and I've had them for about 5 weeks. I'm sooooo glad I did. I was effortlessly cute!!!

I was afraid of breakage from lying down so much, so I put it away.

I had my first visit with my surgeon today. I have decided to get sleeved! I have my medical clearance on the 27th. Looks like I will be having surgery in April. I also found out I have no deductible or copay for the surgery.

This is getting real and I'm getting excited. After years of taking care of everyone else, I am making 2015 all about me!

Thank you Ms. Dee! I have like zero appetite right now. I'm forcing myself to drink this chicken broth because taking medicine without food isn't a good idea. I couldn't drink all of my Protein Shake. Right now I'm just trying to stay hydrated and positioned right in bed. My surgeon sent me home with a DVT machine for blood clots... Not really noisy as I thought it would be.

Here's a few random pictures. Me and best friend who was there with me the whole time. One of my incisions and a picture of me when I made it home today.

Good morning ladies... Did anyone have to take Carafate and Actigall post surgery? Just curious... What did the doctor prescribe you upon being discharged from the hospital?

Good morning ladies... Did anyone have to take Carafate and Actigall post surgery? Just curious... What did the doctor prescribe you upon being discharged from the hospital?

Carafate is an antacid. I was prescribed omeprazole. Actigall is for the treatment or prevention of gallstones.

The only other prescriptions I was sent home with was colace which is stool softener and something for pain. I can't remember exactly what was prescribed. I didn't have any pain so I never got the script filled.

I was prescribed omeprazole prior to surgery but he told me to stop taking it... So I guess carafate took its place. I'm taking that, Actigall, and giving myself enoxaparin shots for blood thinning. I got acetaminophen and codeine and something for nausea but haven't taken either.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
