are you tracking your calories on myfitnesspal or something like that? Do you know how many calories you actually are taking in? Unless you write it down from the label or enter every bite you take into the app there is no way of knowing for sure. I know I can add lots of calories throughout the day with a bite of something here, a nibble of something there. Are you grazing? I am year out and I find myself grazing more than I should. Are you eating dense Protein first, before veggies or starch? Do you feel full after you eat?

Are you exercising regularly? I think exercising is extremely helpful if you can do it.

lastly, are you drinking enough Water?

Just keep doing your program. I have days where I don't lose anything or even gain a pound. I weigh everyday but I only track my weight on Mondays. This way I don't freak out over the lose/gain issue.

Do you keep a food journal? I didn't at first & I have done much better since I started the journal. I got a DietMinder from Amazon & it tracks everything from food, Vitamins, Water & exercise.

I also started reading a book on "keytones". I was told the sleeve diet ( by another Bariatric Pal member) is like the Adkins diet & when I thought about it I realized that this was true. I don't know if this issue with "keytones" is correct but I'm willing to try it. If it doesn't work I can go back to what I'm doing now, which isn't much different other than the amount of fat. I have increased my fat intake (who would ever think this was a good idea) & I'm careful with keeping my carb intake low. I still drink 1 Protein shake a day so that I do get all of my Protein in. My biggest issue is with not drinking enough Water & exercise.

Remember, we are not all the same when it comes to how our bodies deal with weight loss. One day you will be so glad you did this. I'm at 4 months & I know my overall weight loss has been good but that's because I lost quite a bit in the first few weeks. I now average about 1 lb a week. I still think this was a good decision & I don't expect to hit my goal weight for 2 years.

Good luck with your journey. Hopefully you get some more info from other Sleevers.

Thanks everyone for the tips and replies. I recently started working out again. Focusing really hard daily with my Fluid intake. As for Proteins, I get most of it from meat, cheese, veggies.

Do you have access to myfitnesspal or if u do record every thing? It's a good possibility ur not getting enuff Protein. .maybe? Just a thought. I do the same however I do STILL get a shake in daily I drink it for Breakfast. .but I do eat the ground turkey, carb master yogurt, low fat cheese, an I do turkey roll up with cream cheese..I am also making sure an this is why I luv myfitnesspal. .it calculates EVERYTHING for ya so ya no exactly wat ur taking in I keep my carb intake below 45 daily. I have noticed for me I burn daily..how do I know? I use ketones stix an chk every morning. .an I have started also chking at night before I go to bed..that way it also shows me if I'm staying on track..that's my tools..thought I'd share..we're all different! Sometimes hearing others lil tips help...I went thru several wks of stall..I about thru the scale out the window! Lol. ...but it's going good so far again. ..:) hang in there!!

I would suggest finding out if there are support groups nearby, usually through hospitals and or bariatric practices. It may help you to bounce ideas and your experiences off of people going through the same challenges.

Have you had your thyroid checked? 10 years ago, I followed a really strict Atkins type diet. Lost only 17 pounds. Found out thyroid was out of whack and prevented weight loss.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
