Weight comes off here and there

Recommended Posts

I know this is strange.....

Do you ever look in the mirror and think that I've lost weight here but not there? I guess I was thinking the weight would come off equally in all places.

For example, I can REALLY see a difference in my neck/shoulders/upper arms, but my lower arms are still chunky.

I am not complaining. I just think it's interesting and wondered if anyone else thought this.

Oh yes, I'm in the gym working on my areas that have been slower to loose. It is interesting to see where the weight comes off first. I'm trying to build muscle in the areas that are in need to loose inches. Hope I'm on the right track...

From my lifetime of dieting knowlesge this is my understanding of why we have plateaus and stalss. The plateaus are when the body rearranges the fat to make it more proportional. When you lose rapidly your body has to take breaks to shift everything around so it can better acess the fat. Not sure of a reference for this but it makes sense to me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
