This is why i started these topics here... Alternatives to changing your stomach through surgery. Read these topics and u will find the new ideas. Don't forget weight loss medications. If u live near a u.s. hospital or center doing the endobarrier trials u can have one probably for free. Let me know here what u find in your research. There are mexican docs that do the gastric balloon now, some overpriced for now. Please post here your discoveries.

Here's a little info about the Obalon balloon.....

http://www.obalon.com

They've been doing them in the UK and Mexico for about a year. The surgeon who did my VSG was actually featured on ABC Nightline in a story about the balloon procedure. And I think I read somewhere that they are starting US trials. The problem I see with this procedure is that the balloon is only left in for 2 months. You would probably lose weight, but then you are right back where you started when they remove it. Not sure how this is different than any other "diet".

For the Obalon and POSE procedure and gastric balloons procedures, you can do it in Dubai: contact Dr Tarek Saleh who is a world expert in these procedures: www.salehclinic.com

Dubai is a a rather long and expensive trip trip. Anyone recommend a surgeon in Mexico for the POSE procedure?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
