Know it's a NO NO, but I don't really use Condiments on things I eat so even a mini sandwich would be dry, like lunch meat, a sandwich thin, and lettuce only.

Do any of you take small sips if you eat something dry? I already have a drier mouth due to Zoloft, so I'm trying to figure out eating without Water lol

I take the generic of Zoloft and have not noticed any issues with dry mouth due to it. My sleeve was August 6th and I have not tried eating any breads yet, but I do eat small pieces of roasted chicken. When I do eat something that tends to dry, I just chew on it longer and try to work up more saliva. Smaller bites make a difference too, you don't have as much to try and moisten up.

Yeah it's one side effect I get from it...and heaven forbid I try and get off the stuff! If I even miss a few days I can feel it..headache, brain zaps (at least that's what people on forums call it), nausea ugh I want to get off it someday

I feel if I always waited the 15 min before or the 45 after EVERYTIME I ate like they suggest I would never drink. I don't think it's harmful. I just think they don't want you to fill up on liquids plus I think it can push certain foods through your pouch faster. So if you do take "sips" just watch how much you are eating. I have not sipped and ate yet but I usually only wait 5-10 minutes after I eat to start drinking again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
