Hi everyone!! This is my first post & I'm looking for October surgery buddies. I'm very excited about the surgery. Where did you get your turn is cups? I love the little ones, even though they are cowboys lol.

haha. I got them at Bed Bath and Beyond. I've never seen the little ones before. It was perfect ! Especially since it can hold hot liquids. I can have my morning coffee ;)

Sleeved @ 1030am and at home the same day. Not sure if I'm the only one, but the pain comes just lying here and I'm having a hard time taking deep breaths. How often are you drinking? Just constant small sips all day?? I don't want to ruin my sleeve just after I got it.

How did you do last night? Very few doctors send you home the same night. I switched doctors for thst reason. I drsnk small sips every few minutes after the first night. Nothing but ice chips on surgery day post op. I was sleeved on 7 October.

I didn't sleep to well d/t pain, gas and inscional pain . I took my pain med and I'm not sure it's working as it should. But I have no nausea or vomiting. That was my biggest feAr.

@@Peekboo, did you go to work today? i hope you are not going to push yourself too much too soon. it's awesome that you are feeling so well!

best wishes to all who are scheduled for today!

I decided to work from home today instead. Thank you for thinking of me. I am still feeling great. I commute an hour to work in a commuter van and just didn't feel up to the long day How are you?

i'm still waiting for my date! it'll be either next tuesday or the tuesday after that. i'm planning on taking one week off and working from home for 3 weeks after that.

That's a great plan!

Im glad you had no vomiting or nausea. The gasc strips helped me a little, not much. Walking and moving my shoulders in an airplane like move helped me more with the gas pains.Micah Spain's were mostly in my shoulders for some reason.

Mygas pains, not micah spain, lol.

:( this will be my last post in this group, as i just got off the phone with my surgeon's office and i'm now tentatively scheduled for 11/4... october is booked and i'm still pending with my insurance company.

good luck to all!

We will miss you, good luck!
