I'm just shy of a month out of surgery, so I'm starting to eat a lot less than I ever would before , and have completely cut out unk food/coke/etc - sometimes I'll have some sugars and so on, but my weight has just come to a standstill these last 2-3 weeks. I lost about 8kg (15lbs) first up, and then just.. nothing , if that it's even gone up 2-3lbs (1-2kg) did anyone find the same thing happened ? Is it because your body has just gone into shock from being restricted so much ? I try and eat 3 "meals" a day, even if it's just yoghurt and tea for Breakfast , and I'm on a clean eating program of lean Proteins and vegetables + minimal carbs.. but still just.. nada. Did this happen to anyone else post surgery ?

I am 9 weeks out. I slowed down like you did and have now started losing at an incredible pace. Will blow right past last months record of 22 lbs. With a week to go to end the month I am 25 lbs down. 7.5 lbs in the last week. Wow. I dont know whether this is good or not.

I'm right there with you. I'm at 5 weeks postop and my scale has moved very little in the past 2 weeks. Really frustrating when you feel like you're doing everything right. I'm going to to kick off my exercise plan and maybe that will get me the results I'm looking for.

My scale didn't move at all for a few days after 4 weeks then I had an appointment with my surgeon, he told me to eat more to lose more.

That also when he ordered me to eat solid food just a day after I started losing again, slowly but losing, since then (10 days) I lost 1.4 kg (3 lbs).

I had a 12 day stall 2 weeks out. Most people do stall out shortly after getting sleeved. Follow your doc's recommendations and incorporate as much walking as you can and it will start back up.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
