For several weeks postop I walked on a treadmill about 1/2 to 1 mile/day. It helped with digestion and "moving things through". But then I got bored and stopped once my tummy started handling food better. I did no exercise between 5-12 weeks out because I had a C. diff infection that made me feel lousy and left me prone to dehydration, so I didn't want to do anything that expended more Fluid (like sweating) After that I rode my recumbent bike 20 - 30 minutes about 4-5 times a week until I got bored with that, too. Haven't been on it in almost 2 months.

Between working 60 hours/week and playing hard on the weekends I have a very active lifestyle and I hate exercise. Dont have any intention of going to a gym or establishing a workout routine. I'm not encouraging you to not to do it, just wanted to say there's more than one way to be successful post VSG. I don't work out, I don't measure or track food and I still managed to pass my goal weight, maintain great muscle tone and look and feel great doing it "my" way. You just need to find your way and not feel bad that you aren't doing it like everyone else.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
