Everything was tasting different to me and it has finally started getting back to normal. Crazy.

The sushi didn't taste different to me. It was very good! My new tummy, however, thought otherwise. :/ I kept it down, both ways (barely), but it was very painful and uncomfortable. It went away a couple of hours later.

Walked my first 5k Saturday. I wasn't last. I walked the Blue Shoe walk for prostate cancer in honor of my dad who died from this cancer in 1990! It felt so amazing to do this!

It's so strange. They warned me though. I just can't wrap my head around how different it is for everyone. Some things I thought would definitely make me sick didn't and other stuff I thought would be fine ended up making me sick. I LOVE sushi, but I only used to eat it maybe 3 times a year, if that. I hope I can still eat it, just not nearly as much if it. No more all you can eat for me!! Lol

I'm so excited today!! Down 50 lbs in 10 weeks and am beyond thrilled! How is everyone else doing? I feel so good just need to worry about new pants but I think that I can handle some retail therapy even if it's goodwill! :)

I had wls on 7.28 I'm down 20 pounds since surgery 42 altogether. I'm struggling with the thick Protein Shakes I once loved. I switched back to the fruit ones but I'm not hitting my Protein goal with shakes alone. I need to keep better track with my fitness pal because sometimes I'm not sure I got enough protein in for the day. I miss the ease of the shakes, but its all good.

People are starting to notice, which is both good and bad. I don't really want to share with everyone what "my secret" is, because I don't want to deal with the whispers. But, I am a bad liar, so if I'm asked outright I don't lie. It's nice to come on here and read about and talk to people who know what I'm going through. It's very comforting.

I absolutely have no regrets. I just don't want to screw this up.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
