I'm looking for a little guidance here. I'm 5 days post op and have been having pain below my ribs on the left side. It seems like it gets worse when I try to drink something. Did anyone else experience this? Is there anything I can do to help it? I should mention I had surgery in Mexico so it's not like I can just run back to the surgeon. I did email the coordinator. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have it too. Worsened by standing up straight or sitting proper. Doesnt hurt at all when im lying down or in a recliner.

Saw my doc yesterday, he's not concerned. Narrowed it down to either gas or a sore muscle as the left side rib area is where a lot of tummy poking and prodding happened during surgery.

@@Kramer17 Thanks for responding! I took gas-x and tylenol and it is gone now. I figure it was either gas or muscles :)

I'm in Mexico right now, and I had my surgery yesterday. My doc says that's pain from the incision where most of the work went on, and where they removed the part of my stomach that was taken out. Hope you feel better soon!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
