I have a tablespoon of guacamole once in a while (whenever we have tacos, I have a bit on my taco meat). I've also mashed plain avocado into tuna salad and egg salad (in place of mayo) and it is pretty good :) It's a nice occasional treat, but not something I would eat daily.

Someone said a while ago that it was good when you're on your puréed or full liquid to go to Panera bread and get a bowl of their broccoli cheese Soup blend it Well today I was out and about with my sisters who have helped me so much since my surgery on July 8th and I wanted to treat them to lunch. At Panera I asked if I could get a cup of broccoli cheese soup and if they would blend it for. Well they did and I ate 1/4 cup and took the rest home for a couple more meals. I just thought you all might want to know. Hope everyone's having a good day!

Avocados are a healthy fat. I don't like them alone but I do like guacamole. I put it on burgers - it makes dry ground beef go down easy. I couldn't eat burgers w/o it! :-)

I eat 2 or 3 a week at times....sometimes I just slice them and put chili powder on them and have them on a cracker....Yum!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
