Oh poo. I guess I'll wait and see what they have for me at my first post op visit on Monday. I also have a seminar or something with their nutrition afterward. Then I'll have to start all these Vitamins. Or do they suggest waiting until phase two. I think the original nutritionist did. Can't recall. Doc said to wait until after this visit though. I take Biotin chewable a everyday anyway just bc I'm dreading the upcoming Hair loss.< /p>

I have it all the time now. It's been going on for like a week. It's messed up my Protein and Water intake. Need to try some babybells!

I had it so bad I couldn't sleep at night. Dr said to try PPI's at night, and if that didn't work go to 2 a day for a couple days. then taper off. I finally slept last night... Thanks to Prilosec.

IF all else fails Gaviscon..

but beware of TUMS

Tell your doctor especially if you are not on heartburn meds. Because the acid can erode your stomach.

I had the sleeve on July 24th. Came home today on Clear Liquids for 3 more days then I add my Protein Drinks into diet till I see my doctor on aug 4 to discuss purée foods. Weighed myself prior to leaving hosp and was up 2 pounds from Thursday morning. Nurse agreed that intend all the fluids I received during my stay and gas. Lol. I also had hiatal hernia repair done and I gotta day I think that hurts more than the other right now. Feel every sip of everything going down. Including meds (liquids).

I was sleeved on July 7 2014. No complications but I was naive about the recovery time. I'm 61 and thought I would bunch back more quickly. I am up and doing housework and shopping etc. I am however, so thirsty. The sipping doesn't do it for me. I have eaten a bite or two over my full limit and suffer with that incredible chest pain. Anyone else with minor struggles?

I'm worried I can eat too much. For lunch today I had a boiled egg and a cheese stick. I did feel full afterward and my stomach did spasm some when I ate but it spasms with Water, too... How much can everyone eat at one meal?

I'm not eating solids yet but I'm 2 weeks out tomorrow and I can drink a fair amount of liquids at once which makes me worry too!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
