Countdown to Onederland!

Recommended Posts

Been on a plateau for at least a couple of monthes and could'nt quite break the 200 mark I kept boucing around 204-205-201 etc. Had a fill about six wks. ago and it seems like it's just now kicking in or something I know it seems like a long delay, but food just doesn't seem to have that hold on me the last 2or3 wks. like before. Any way the last wk. I dropped to 195.6 or 198 and have stayed there so I think it's safe to say I've made it to onederland even though my goal is 175or 180.:)

ditto! I have also been bouncing around those numbers! I had my first fill 2 weeks ago and still nothing has happened....i don't get as hungry in between meals now, so i'm loving that, but i am so ready to start losing again. this has been the first time since surgery that i've gone two months without steadily losing little by little. i'm not too down in the dumps though...i'm loving the new me:) i wanted to be in onederland by oct. 1st, but that didn't happen....i'm setting a new goal for dec. 1st. i love this forum!!!

I have read everything you all have written and am hoping that I can join you all in Onederland. I am still to be banded (hopefully in the next month) but have been losing weight and am down to about 229 from my heaviest of over 260. I love the attitude in here and how encouraging everyone is. It is awesome to see the journey you have all been on! I just know I will be able to do it with your support!!!

Good Job everyone!!

I finally made it. And after a rough week as well. I didn't chew my food well enough (I know slap my hand!) and was in terrible pain due to irritation of my esophogus. My doc completely unfilled me and I am going to have to keep it in onederland using pure will power. I can and will do it though, cause this is a GREAT FEELING. You all are doing so well and have been a big inspiration to me. Good luck on the continued weight loss.

I just found this thread, woo hoo! This morning my scale read 199.8!!!!! I haven't been below 200 in about 3 years. I am SO excited. Just hoping that the next time I weigh myself it doesn't say 203 because I've been hovering between 202 and 204 for about 2 weeks, argh!!!

I am getting closer! I am at 202.5 this morning, the day after turkey day, and I am thrilled. I have one of those medical type scales with the weights that you slide back and forth...anyway, when I get to 200 or below I will get to move the BIG weight to the 150 mark (then use the small weight for the rest) and I am so excited.

I had my first filll this week, so I hope to be in ONEDERLAND no later than DEC 1. Woo Hoo

I just found this thread and love it! I am at 212 and really want to get out of the 2's by January 1st- Christmas would be even better. I think posting on this thread will be a great motivator to push me to Onederland. Look forward to meeting you all! :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
