Is this a joke? WTH is going on?!
Something else I wanted to say is that I got discouraged on here because everyone was losing so much faster than I was, but not everyone has the same body or the same weight loss. You really have to go at your own pace and make sure that you are doing what you need to do for yourself. I know that my work schedule hinders my weight loss, but I am still working at it. I have been banded for 2 years and am still not at my goal weight, but it is coming off slow and steady. I have had a few gains, but then I realize that the high fat/high calorie goes through WAY easier than the protein I am supposed to eat!

I think a HUGE part about being banded is learning to deal with all the things that made you fat to begin with. Those don't go away. And you have to remember that the band is a tool not a miracle worker. You have to learn how to work with it. I was able to eat bread (and still can if I do it slowly) and I can eat and drink at the same time. You need to find a support group or possibly an info class that goes through all of those things. Before I was banded I had to take several classes on how to live with the band. It was a big help. If you don't feel comfortable with your surgeon you need to find someone that can help. I would suggest looking around for someone that you think can help you more! Hope that helps a little...

September Fills????
I wish I could have a fill....it is getting better, though. At least I am losing again. Somedays I can eat everything in sight and still be hungry and other days I can hardly eat soup so I think I will stay away from fills for a little while longer. I am just so glad to see the scales going down!!! Finally I lost past 30 pounds....Chris--get a fill for me too, k?:tongue:Congratulations to making it to a BMI less than 40. Getting healthy is great!!!!!

Countdown to Onederland!
I know that everyone says it, but if I can do it...anyone can!!!! I am so glad that this plateau is done!!! I can't believe it. Every time I step on the scale my heart jumps when I see the numbers going down instead of up...Thank you to everyone for encouragement and support!!!

Countdown to Onederland!
Thank you Lana for your encouragement!!! I am glad that I notice my weight loss every day (just not on the scale all the time!!) I can run up the stairs without getting winded, I had to buy new rings, new skirts, new pants and new shirts--wow a little poem... I am thankful for my band because without it I would already have regained what I lost plus some.....I am just workin' through this dumb plateau and it is showing!!!

Any North Dakotans out there?
I think New start was wednesday and Behavior change was thursday the last part of last year, but I can't be sure. I am doing ok. I look at some of the weight loss on here and it is hard for me to believe. Some people that lose 150 pounds in 6 months....good for them, but I think that they are giving it to me....lol. It has been slow and I have been stalled for a while, but it is starting to slowly creep back down. I think I am having some trouble with my B12 so that could be a lot of it. I go to see the doctor on the 18th so hopefully we can get it straightened out!!!! Good luck! Trish

Knockouts - Six Month Progress Status
Mama....I know how you feel. I have looked at all these people with their HUGE weight losses (congrats to all, btw!!!) and I feel your pain. My weight loss has been slow, but it is picking up again. I feel like for the past few months my body was rebelling!!! It has been slow going and the last time I tried to get a fill, it didn't work. It was way too tight and water wouldn't even go down. So I was able to eat WAY more than I was supposed to until just last week. Now if I eat too much, it all comes back up. So, with a little trial and error I am starting to lose again. I am SO glad to finally be under 200 I can hardly stand it. What an adventure. But even at that--when you average out the weight loss, it is pretty healthy, and pretty significant even at 30 pounds lost. And, it is the only time in my life that I have EVER lost 30 pounds and not put it back on when things weren't going well. My doctor and I have been discussing it and also decided that my weight loss is slow because I work the night shift and don't get the sleep I should. Don't know if that is true, but I have been really trying to get my rest and maybe that is what is helping!!! I am so excited for everyone!!! YEAH us!!!!

Non-Scale Victories!!
I just wanted to say that I had a picture done with a friend of mine (for her phone caller id) and it was done at Christmas time. Then she did one of me on Saturday. Said she needed an updated one. When she showed them to me I almost cried! The difference in my face was almost unbelievable to me! Amazing. I LOVE this!!!! Congrats everyone. Everyday is a better day!

Anyone have Dumping Type Syndrome????
I really think it has to do with the change in our diets! I was going to go on MediFast once and they told me that they would know if I cheated and ate something because my blood work would be off, but also because I would be in the bathroom very quickly with diarrhea! They said my body would be so used to the liquids that if I tried to eat something sugary or greasy my body would reject it and I would get cramps and diarrhea pretty quickly--maybe it is the same thing as when you are recently banded. Your body is used to the liquid diet and can't handle the sugar or fat?!!?:confused2:
