@@Skinnyana, to be fair, I haven't had any issues with Water, but I do find water with lemon or iced herbal tea to be easier to drink in large amounts. Probably not new info, but maybe helpful :)

It's Monday morning and didn't I forget to weigh in this morning? Holiday weekend throwing me off. :)

And in more ways than one. I skipped logging food and steps Friday to Sunday this weekend and I also found myself pretty dehydrated this morning so I'm focusing on getting lots of Water in and I am experiencing a stronger "water nausea" feeling. I've found that keeping the Water room temp helps with that, and flavor squirters.

Over the weekend we went to North Carolina and I really pushed my capacity with pulled pork bbq binge, like half a cup of it every 3 hours i was there (hey at least it was soft and protein). It didn't stop me that, from what my dr said, our suture lines inside are still healing and creating scar tissue to cover the staples. I have to remember that it's not everything back to normal yet and to take it easy on my body a little longer.

I'm starting to get really self conscious about my changing body, noticing the skin getting loose on upper thighs and arms, and the parts of my body I didn't want to go away (chest and bottom) are the first ones my body decides to pull from o.0 But it's all for the good of the whole health wise.

hair loss is something I'm scared of too and read an article that recommended…. spraying apple cider vinegar on your hair and then letting it there for a half hour and then rinsing with cold water?? Don't know if anyone else has heard of this but apparently it's a mega conditioner and helps prevent Hair loss under stress/hormone changes. It also said you can take a tsp diluted in a cup of water before meals and it will work similar to metformin to reduce insulin spikes after eating. I haven't decided if I'm going to try it yet but if anyone has experience or seen that validated I'm interested in hearing about it.

Good morning everyone! I just got done weighing and I'm thrilled. My weight kept fluctuating on the scale up and down over a pound while I was standing on it like it was possessed. I finally realized my hair bun must be leaning on the wall or something, so I scooted it out from the wall a foot and not only did it stop the fluctuating nonsense it showed 3 pounds lighter!!! I stepped on it 3 more times to make sure. Lol

I was at 261.6 last Monday with. SW of 280. That was right before I passed out and broke both bones in my ankle. My RIGHT ankle. My gas pedal driving ankle. So that being. Said - not sure when I'm going to be able to get on a scale again to get a true weight since I have this ankle splinted, partially casted and wrapped to the hilt until further notice. Not to mention I would have to be able to stand ON the scale and balance. I can't see that happening for the next several weeks. I do have my follow up with my Bariatric surgeon on Wednesday so will see what he says. I found that I get nauseous if I am laying down/reclined when I eat and drink so it's been fun to keep my foot elevated while in bed while sitting up while fighting nausea. You get the picture. And the lortab for pain makes me nauseous as well so no pain meds for me for the ankle. So ask you can see - I'm on an adventure. Stay tuned cuz Friday I meet with my Orthopaedic surgeon to see what he has in store for me and for how long. Could be interesting since the first two weekends in August I am traveling. Cross your fingers for me. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend.

I hope u feel better!

@@boccob81 I read somewhere on the forums that posture problems and weird muscle deficiencies that cause you to walk funny happen as the weight is rapidly lost. Basically your back and shoulder muscles are overcompensating for a stomach weight that's not there anymore, plus your abdominal muscles aren't fully healed from surgery yet. Best advice I found is to simple walk tall, sit straight up. If you're having trouble with your leg muscles though I'd be worried you're not getting enough Protein and your body is eating your muscles as fuel instead of fat.

NSVs: I had to wrap string around my wedding rings today to tighten them up because they fell off my hands while washing in the bathroom. I also researched how to alter button up shirts so I don't have to buy all new for work just yet, just have a lot of sewing to do. I also went outside wearing a sleeveless shirt, to the grocery store, without an overwhelming sense of shame and self-consciousness. My upper arms still aren't nice to look at, but I just felt better about myself so I did it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
