Had my surgery on August 10th. Good luck to everyone. I had an excellent experience, just trying to get through this first week. So happy I made the decision to have the surgery.

Tomorrow is my day... Have to be at the surgery center at 7am.... Sooooo scared and excited

I'm praying. Easier said than done, but try to embrace your new you. Try not to focus on the negatives.

Congrats! Wishing you all the best today! Mine was on the 10th so into the 2nd week. No regrets!!

My VSG was Tuesday August 18, 2015. I cam home on Wednesday afternoon. Today is my first full day at home. I am focusing on walking, vitamins, protein and water.

I am not doing well getting more than 4 oz in an hour. I am getting full.

Gas X strips are a big help.

I had my surgery on 8-19-15 so yesterday and I was released same day... I'm very tired I've had 2 Popsicles and only drinking about 20 or so oz's... I heard the 3 day is the worst and than you feel much better... I have one hole that they pulled my stomach out of that hurts pretty bad.. I also can't talk loud or take really deep breathes cuz it hurts?!

My tentative date is August 5th. The nurse said on Tuesday(July 8th) evening that she will be sending in my paper work to the insurance. I have no idea if she did yet. I did all my pre op testing (sleep study, blood work, all the doctors etc).

If anyone is interested there is a August facebook group....https://www.facebook.com/groups/AugustGastricSleeveBuddies/
