hey everyone..

is anyone else nervous about being put to sleep? I have never been put to sleep and for now thats my only anxiety...Can any of you all that have already been sleeved share some positive insight please????? My surgery date is Monday August 25th!!!

Hi! I was sleeved the 18th and I remember feeling anxious like you the first time I was put to sleep(wisdom tooth). So when I woke up I just remember feeling like I just had the best nap of my life. I've joked that I'm tired and wanted to go back for more naps, lol. So don't worry about it, you'll be fine:) hope that helps!

I was afraid of the same thing. Afraid of everything really. I was crying on the operating table and nearly told them to stop when I felt my eyes roll back in my head and I fell asleep. Thank god they were so quick about it or I may have run out of there and I'm glad I didn't. I had my surgery on Tuesday the 19th. Good luck to you! The being put to sleep part is the easiest. It feels like you fall asleep for a nap and wake up and it's over.

Lucky! I'm hoping I will be first case as well. I find out today :)

Annnnndddd I am!! Well, my surgeon's first case. Surgery is at 1 but gotta be there at 11. So excited!!!!

Hi newrose I was sleeved the 18th also, it still seems kind of surreal. How are you feeling so far?

I was on the 18th too and mostly I am doing ok except for having diareah anything milky or Protein Shakes and they just literally go right through me. I have no pain other than a little in my left shoulder I am struggling to do all the Fluid and Protein. I find soups are the best.

surgeons. office called me and the first surgery cancelled so now I'm first in line!! I'm so happy can't wait for monday

awesome...im ready for monday as well

thank you soooo much because yeah that will probably be me too crying like a baby lol im such a sap

I am going to have my surgery in Mexico but I live in California and I will just follow up with my primary care physician when I return

8/28 and Mexico is my sleeve day I told my girlfriend about it yesterday so she's going with me. I'm actually glad because I'm scared

Today is Day Five post-op (was sleeved August 18).

I am doing GREAT! Did three loads of laundry this morning, folded, hung and put it all up.

Tummy is only mildly sore.

Am amazed at how well I'm drinking, sipping, slurping.

Am up to 49 grams of protein/day (yesterday). Going up every day. Not trying to be the World Champ during Week One -- just do a little better every day.

I lost THREE FREAKIN' POUNDS LAST NIGHT! That's a personal best, for sure! (And yes, I'm probably still shedding IV weight. But it's still 4 pounds less than just before surgery.)

In other words (knock on wood), I'm lovin' this. :)
