I can't say I had numbness...I had deep muscle cramps in both thighs for the first week or so...but I'd been getting shots in both thighs to prevent blood clots. Numbness...maybe nerve related? Do you sleep in one position a lot?

I did have this. I am 8 months out and had it for the first three month. It was when I was standing and my left thigh would fall asleep. It had something to do with being on my back on the operating room table. I googled it and it is common in about 30% of weight loss surgeries. I was fine after awhile but very nerve racking. Good luck!

Good morning. I had surgery 6/17 and a few days later my right upper thigh woke me up one night and it felt like a bee sting when I touched it. Now its just tingling. I immediately went to my doctor and they said its a compressed nerve. It more than likely happened during surgery. Every day it is getting better but I keep waking up at night because it is annoying! I also lay on my back and it happens. Go to your physician and ask them for medicine for your thigh. Its not going to go away over night so just be prepared. Don't stress and call your doctor. Since you are post op, you need to call your physician/surgeon for anything that is not normal....

You definitely should talk to your surgeon about any numbness in your legs. That's one of the first signs of a blood clot. So, I would get that ruled out quickly! Nothing to mess with.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
