Just got my date, August 18th. One of the biggest thing I am worried about is getting enough Water, I hate the taste (or lack of) water. I am trying to prepare for this as much as possible mentally, emotionally, and practically. I can drink water fine, as long as it has some flavor in it, infused water is great. I haven't read anywhere if it is ok or not. My idea was to prepare lots of little zip locks with cut up fruit like lemons, strawberries, limes, peaches, oranges, cucumbers, ect. Then freeze them so I just had to pull a bag out the night before and the next day I have my full pitcher of water to drink. Anyone know if this is ok or not? There isn't any sugar added and you aren't eating the fruit.

I don't see why it would be a problem...but you may want to ask your dr

Fruits have a lot of sugar in it. Although it's natural sugar, sugar still equals calories. My NUT recommends Crystal Lite or Mio. However, this is an excellent question for your NUT.

Drinking large amount of cold Water at one time makes me nauseated so I drink it room temperature Water and that prevent the nausea.

Good luck.

I know my NUT didn't have a problem with infused Water, and in fact gave me a list of several tasty fruit/veggie combinations that she liked. (heavy on cucumber and mint)

They have those plastic bottles at Wal-Mart you can add the mint and cucumber into the infuser. I think they are around $6.88.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
