First day at the gym and I passed out!

I would like to say that taking a Protein Drink with you to the gym is a great idea, and also having a Quest bar as well. Once you start getting that feeling of having low bs you will want to take in the Protein. It should help stabilize you and definately help you feel better. I know it does me.

I haven't tired the Quest bars yet. I hear great thing about them though. I have a ton of different kinds of bars ready to go. I just didn't think I should eat them yet. I was told the sugar was too high and they taste too much like a candy bar. But I would prefer not to pass out again.

My wife also suggested taking glucose tablets with me. Bottom line is I need to talk to my Doc.

I sure do have a lot options from this thread. I feel far better prepared for the next time.

Agree with those that say you need to go to the doctor and get examined including a cardio test. Passing out is not normal and you definitely need to be cleared by a physician before going back.

I have an appointment on Wed. But I think I have it nailed. I more than doubled my liquid intake. No more cramps in my calves every morning. No more dizziness when I stand up. I feel great. I just hope the PCP agrees.

Again thank you all for the help.

Quick update...

I went to the gym again today for weight training. I drank and ate a lot the day before and had some carbs for Breakfast so I would have some quick fuel to burn.

I set some good boundaries with the trainer and kept them. I got a good upper body workout and about 45 minutes of good bike work.

The best news... I didn't pass out. ????

Great but what did the doc say? LOL ... I just want to make sure you know there are no lasting issues.

We went over my food and liquid intake. He took my blood pressure and concluded it was postural hypertension. He Said I need to keep supper hydrated and not bend over until I felt the dizziness subside.

He wasn't overly concerned.

So time had past I I think I figured a solution. I want taking in enough carbohydrates , sodium, liquids. The most important for me was sodium once I upped my salt intake I haven't had any dizziness . I still struggle with consuming enough liquids to avoid dehydration. I'm just glad the dizziness is gone and I'm able to work out pretty hard at the gym

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
