My husband got his gastric bypass surgery on may 29th and was doing really well until we got home. Now he has a lot of pain on his left side under his belly button. He can't sit to long or walk. He is still on strong pain meds. Any advice?

Doctor said its his abdominal wall because it was decently large and time helps but he has about one more week to get back to work which is a mildly physical job. Any advice?

You said his job is slightly physical. I sure he knows he can't lift anything at all above five lbs.

He also can't drive if he is still on pain meds.

I hope he feels better if not stay home longer from work until he does.

My left side is where the doctor did the most work. It is agony. I have been clutching a pillow to my tummy since the surgery 4 days ago. It better let up because eventually I need to be able to move around and care for my needs! I tried an abdominal binder from the pharmacy today. It worked very well. I removed it after several hours.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
