First fill today

Recommended Posts

What would you consider a normal amount for a fill? Today was my first fill and my doctor grave me a 1cc fill. Just wasn't sure what amount was normal or is it more MD specific?

MD specific. It's going to depend on some different factors.

Some doctors like you to sneak up on restriction/satiety because it takes some time to learn how to eat like a Bandster.

How much was put in during surgery? If he put in 5 CCs then 1 CC now is about right?

How did your Q&A go before the fill? Did you tell him you're starving or that you're eating less due to the band?

Did you lose a lot of weight since surgery?

But, 1 CC is rather anemic from what I've read?

I am not sure what my band was filled with during surgery. I really can't tell any difference since he filled it yesterday. We did have the conversation of how much was I able to eat , any problems with food passing etc. prior to my fill yesterday. However, my weight loss has been averaging a pound a week and definitely can tell more in my clothes. So I am satisfied with my decision. Definitely been a good thing for me.

Your doctor wants your body to recover slowly and get use to any restriction. Be patient on your weight loss, It took you a lifetime to gain the weight. 1cc at a time if necessary.

My first fill was .8cc and I had nothing added to my band during surgery. I have my second fill tomorrow, 2 weeks after 1st fill

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
