From waddle to wattle

Recommended Posts

I'm not fifty yet, but genetics has forewarned me to expect to gobblegobble as soon as the weight loss is extensive. I promised myself I will rip that flapper off the first opportunity I have. Ick. WILL NOT LOOK LIKE GRANDMA!

I'm 54 and was a little afraid of turkey-neck. I've lost 120 lbs and I now weigh 116 (I'm only 5' tall). I have a little pot belly, saggy baggy thighs, and bat-wings on my arms. I am very glad to say my neck is small and tight - no sag there at all! It's probably genetics but I'll take it! I could really do without the bat-wings, though - especially in the summer when everyone can see them! Lol

But you know what? It beats being fat! :-)

I'm 52 definitely a Turkey-terian. My neck was the very first place I saw sagginess post op. Oh well, everything else is much better than before. I have let my hair grow a little bit this summer and low and behold- a tight, neat ponytail or twist minimizes the neck situation a bit for me. At least I believe it does and that is half the battle!

I had the laser skin tightening on my neck and jaw area pre weight loss. At the time I didn't see much difference but my turkey wattle is pretty minimal so maybe it helped. Thinking of doing it again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
