Australian Bandsters Chat Thread

Hi All, I wanted to start a new chat thread for bandsters all over Australia. Firstly the Melbourne chat thread now has so many replies that we are getting a lot of horrible spam, and secondly we want bandsters from all over the country to feel they can join in and chat on this thread.

Could we post on this new thread now?

Susannah

I don't know if anything I do really sets me apart from the rest of the pack. I have always been big on exercise, and making sure I fuel my body with the best foods I could.

I guess, if I had to give one bit of advice, it would be - Don't stop moving. Keep exercising, even if it just a short walk. Anything that gets your heart rate up is going to help shed the kilo's.

No, exercise is not always fun, nor does it always fit into your day, but it is vital (I have been known to get up at 4am just to get my walk or run in for the day) And I think daily exercise is the key to losing weight, and keeping it off. I have lost weight before, but when I stopped exercising daily, that's when I gained it all back...

Hey Chickie, Your killing me mate!:( Daily exercise? I do 5 times a week. Aren't you scared to go running in the dark at 4am in the morning? If I have to do daily exercise I will though. I really want to succeed. Susie

I hit the treadmill if it's that early. But I have gone out once or twice at 4.30 5 ish with the dogs!

While the above might work really well for me, 5 days might be enough for you, if you know what I mean? I mean, everyone is so different.

Hey All, Good morning. Well I am down another kilo. Happy about that.:clap2: I am happy for it to come off slowly but surely. It is a two year process for me. Can't wait to get under the magical 100 kilo mark.

Well Big Brother is back tonight, and there is a hopeful trying to be voted into the house by the name of Susannah! Great name. I would vote for her. I wish I was as pretty as she is, But hey I am hella funny.:)

Gday Flax, You are most welcome to post here. We never exclude anyone. I love Kiwis.

Meredith how are you?

that has got to be the funniest thing i have heard in ages....you dont exclude anyone....i know a few of us on here have all of a sudden been ignored and we post and then we never get a reply....all i ever hear is ....oh we are one happy family and we all support one another...what a load of crap..please....dont fool people like you have fooled others

This has been on my chest for ages and not just mine but others as well...you all just form your little groups and pm others of who u want to invite to meets etc....thats not called support.....

Im speaking for others as well as long as i get the support form these other girls there is no need for us to be posting or even reading the crap that goes on in these threads...oh and even to start a new talk thread because mine just had melbourne and not australia....and people didnt feel welcome from other states...thats why alot were form other states like canberra and qld...so i really dont get the point.

I could go on and on about this but im not going to ive said my bit and that is it....i have a life and not a life just sitting behind a computer screen typing absolute shit!!!!!!

Oh and I am doing ok Susie. Had a big/late night last night for a friends birthday. We went dancing, and I wore heels and my feet are killing me haha. I felt incredibly old being in nightclubs though, I haven't been out on the town for ages!

Good job with the loss too! You're gonna be under 100 in no time!!

Ok, I had a long heart-on-my-sleeve type post written out, but I prefer this;

I too feel ignored at times. But I am sorry if I have ignored you Fee. I get a bit wrapped up in myself at times... I didn't post on the other tread, mostly because I felt I had little to add.

I actually feel like that a lot here at LBT. Although I have been there and done that, and am now at a point where I am maintaining, people prefer to get their advice from someone who knows / has experienced as little as they have.

I don't feel offended by this, I just wonder why sometimes.

Hi All, Well this has all come out of left field. Fee ,most of your anger seems directed towards me, so I will try to address some of the issues that you raised.

Firstly the new thread was started last week when I logged on only to discover that the lastest spam post was advertising child porn. I was horrified, and I realized that the Melbourne thread had too many replies and was attracting this kind of horrible spam. That was the last straw. Starting a new thread was not done to slight anybody. It was a necessity. I also wanted to make others outside of Melbourne feel that they could dive on in and post.

I had wondered where you had gone Fee, but I just assumed you were busy with your kids and work, and would post again when you were able. I had been hoping you would post again. I had actually hoped we would meet up at some stage because we are both child care workers and I am sure we could swap some very funny horror stories.

Regarding meet ups, Tarajane put posts on all the banding sites for anybody who wanted to meet up. Everybody was invited and they needed to make their own way to the meet. No PMs regarding meet ups have ever been sent between myself or others. If they have pmd me it was usually about personal issues not related to banding or meet ups.

I do have a very balanced life. I was out last night having dinner with friends, and I was out most of today catching up with other friends. The computer is not my life, but I do enjoy logging on and having a few laughs with people.

That is who I am and I won't be changing that because other people perceive I am speaking Whatever.

As for other people feeling the same way, Fee I feel that they should come forward and speak for themselves.

Like you Fee I am also have number of personal issues not related to banding that I am dealing with on a day to day basis. Being able to come here and have a few laughs is a real tonic for me.

Anyway I am at a loss to understand this sudden aggression towards me.

Be Well

Susannah

Guess we all have bad days and some of us even have PMT!!

As Susannah said I posted about the cranbourne get together on all sites that I know about and people came from near and far, one from werribee and another from gippsland. If you had come you would have been made most welcome and there were only a couple who had met before. This is most definately not a secret society.

Post away but please for eveyone's sake try to make it a positive post. As the saying goes 'if you cant say anything positive - best not to say it at all'.

Hi Tara, As you know because you have met me, I am not a malicious person who excludes others ever. A public invitation was given to everybody to that meet, and it was up to to individuals to make their way there. It was a very long way for me to go but I wanted to meet other bandsters and extend the hand of friendship and support.
