1. I am on day 13 and last night just could not do liquids for dinner when the family were have roast chick so I mashed up veges and a little soft meat (cut up fine) with gravy. It was fantastic, but what I wonder about is that I didnt feel any restriction or have any problem swallowing it. I didnt feel full or bloated after like i expected to. I wasnt hungry to start and havent felt hungry since the op. How much should I have eaten? I had around 3/4 of a cup.

5. Hi Bensmum, what an awful time you are having. If anyone asks me why I am not eating I just say that I have a rumbling gallbladder and I am trying to nurse it along because I dont have time to have an op. Maybe that will work in your situation. Good luck.

8. Hi 26thers,
The big day is fast approaching, only one more sleep. I am amazed at how far away it seemed in the beginning and how quickly the time has passed, even the last 14 liquidy days.
Because I am at the bottom of the world I will be first up, cant wait. Will be thinking of you all and looking forward to being on the other side and hearing lots of super successful surgery stories. Hugs
9. Hi I am being banded this Thursday, would love to join your group. NZ is a state of Aust nearly isn't it? LOL.
10. I am half way a two week liquid fast - would have to say that its not going FAST enough. But have managed to stick to it so far, my kids have become the liquid police and are watching me to keep me on the straight and narrow. Only 8 more sleeps!!
11. Hey guys, calm down - this is a place to support each other not to shoot each other down in flames. We will never all agree, its impossible, lets just accept our differing opinions and treat each other with respect and tolerence.
12. I am not positive, but I think that Pouch Rules for Dummies is for bypass recipenets not lap banders. Does anyone know?
13. I started the preop diet yesterday, 3 sachets of Dr McLeods per day made into a shake or Soup, which i presume is similar to Optifast. I am so desperate to not be fat anymore and for this to work, that I will do whatever I have to do. Only 12 more days to go and DH is doing all the cooking and washing up - so its not all bad.
14. Hi all, haven't posted before but now that i have my surgery date - 26 April - I thought i would say hello and thank you to you all.
