Can't believe I am less than a week away from surgery! I'm so excited and so nervous. I'm down 30 lbs and am still losing. Its so crazy that I started this Journey 9 months ago and felt as it was going to be FOREVER before my surgery and it is finally almost HERE! It's so surreal.

I am super excited. The only thing I am nervous about is failing or not losing enough weight in the long run. I've been in the pre-op diet since May 12th. It's been really hard, not bad when I'm home, but when I go to work there is temptation everywhere. Congrats to you too! Let me know how things go!

Wow! Since may the 12th? That's a long diet? I've been dieting since January however the liquid diet is something else. The diet is ok at work, around 2:00 it gets rough that's when I crave a snack. I really miss my Snacks and crunchy things. Are you drinking Protein Shakes as well?

Had to be on the liquid diet for 28 days. It's been awful. I'm only allowed 5-6 dehydrated meals a day. They are like Medifast. Very high Protein, very low carbs and sugars. About 500 calories a day. I have things like chili, eggs, pancakes, pudding etc. I miss salty and savory things the most because all the "savory things" I can eat are just awful that I'd rather not even eat.

How's it going today?? My diet has been ok today, I am thinking of drinking some Protein shakes tomorrow. I've been drinking nothing but broth, I am ready for something different. How are you feeling today?

My surgery is the 9th as well.

I'm on 2 Protein shakes and 1 small meal of lean Protein and veggies. I am thinking of skipping the meal tonight though and just doing another shake because my final preop appt is tomorrow and I'll be weighed again  .

Looking forward to getting my surgery time though tomorrow. I really hope it's early because I don't want to sit around all day worrying and not being able to drink anything.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
