I am continuing with this process, no date yet, but last week at testing they said I would be outpatient for the sleeve? I go home same day? Has anyone else done this. Is this because I am cash pay?

A sliding hernia is a hiatal hernia, there are three firms of hiatal hernia, "sliding", rolling, combined or type IV when another organ herniates as well, usually the colon. So the surgeon just has to be cleared by the medical board to provide that kind of service. Insurance companies also approve out patient surges faster as they cost less. My approval took 48 hours.

I am scheduled for my surgery next Thursday, I too have a hiatal hernia to be repaired, I have insurance and it is still going to be out patient. In by 6am and out before 5pm. My doctor reassured me that if anything does go unexpected, he is also a physician at the local hospital and can treat me there if needed.
