So I've been having this pinching pain on the inside lower left part of my stomach when I move certain ways and when I try to sit down. I have to hold my stomach to sit down and get up.

Has anyone had this, or know anyone who has? Should I be concerned?

When was your surgery?

If it was recent it could be internal stitches pulling a bit.

That sounds like what I had. I was always holding my stomach over that area. My surgeon told me it was from where he had to stitch muscle back together with very tight, braided stitches. He also told me that at some point when they started to dissolve, I might feel a popping sensation. I felt the pop at around 3 weeks and the pain was gone from then on.

But it never hurts to call your surgeon if you are concerned! It helps to hear it right from the source so you know whether or not it is normal/if you should be worried :)

Yeah I called my surgeon yesterday and that's exactly what the nurse told me. That it was the stitching on the muscle that was having to heal. I haven't felt a popping sensation as of yet though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
