You might want to be more specific? There are a couple of books written on the band and they're over 500 pages long.

Just make sure you keep hydrated and follow your doctors orders. Don't try to get away with sneaking solid foods till you're cleared by your surgeon. Your stomach has gone through a lot of trauma and the reason for the liquid diet is so that your pouch, stoma and lower stomach aren't muscled around by eating the wrong foods.

You may or may not experience constipation or diarrhea. Pain meds stop my digestive tract so I wasn't able to use the pain meds.

Don't sweat losing weight till your band is adjusted properly. I MEAN IT  :P lol

You may get hungry in your 2nd -4th week. Don't sweat it, it happens to almost everyone.

Also, don't get upset if you can't get all your Protein or calories in during the healing period. Just do what you can.

Welcome to the other side and look forward to hearing your progress.

Congrats on your journey! My best advice is to do what your surgeon tells you to do!

Congratulations on your band! Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend. Walking really, really helps........

Oh the pain is bad.. Feels like I have been punched in the stomach 100xs. In a positive note keeping down Popsicles and broth..

Congrats!!! :) yes...listen to your doc!!! :)

First - listen to your surgeon! I am not a doctor and have no training as such. Anything I post is merely experience talking and I do not pretend otherwise.

After that, drink SMALL amounts of Water - sip don't guzzle - it will HURT

Chew every single thing you put in your mouth until there is nothing left.

Remember, Protein first - always

Do not drink 1/2 hour before or after you eat. Why? Before-it will fill you up faster and you won't be able to get the required amount of protein. After - it will wash away the food you just ate and may have a "wave" effect, causing you to vomit.

Very hot or very cold anything may cause you to vomit.

Pain on your left side and left shoulder is PROBABLY gas - get yourself some GasX.

If you have eaten but think you want more food, wait 20 minutes and see if you are really hungry as opposed to head hunger.

I hope this gets you started. Good Luck!

Congrats! Good luck!

The pain gets much better by day 4. Congrats! I am 3 weeks out and feel great. Just follow your doctor's recommendations.

Congrats and yep...listen to the advice here :) keep on your new plan and you will do awesome!!
