2 weeks post op as of today and I am really struggling with nausea. My anti nausea medication is helping but I am still really uncomfortable and it is keeping me from hitting my goals. I can't seem to put my finger on what is causing the problem.

Does anyone have some tips on how to minimize the nausea?

Does it seem worse at certain times during the day? I was super nauseous the first 2-3 weeks in the mornings until I figured out I needed to get up a drink something in the middle of the night. If you're dehydrated, you can also feel nauseous which just makes things work since you don't want to drink anything!

Have you tried warm liquids? That can help relax the stomach a little and help you feel better.

Interesting suggestions. I think I need to pay closer attention to temperature and hydration. I have tried chicken broth a few times but I don't recall if it settled my stomach.

I usually drink cold liquids.< /p>

Looks like it was the Calcium causing the nausea. I stopped 2 days ago and have had no issues.

Now I am just worried about consuming enough Calcium.< /p>

I didn't even think about supplements! I had to switch my multi because it was making me so sick. I'm glad you were able to figure it out and that you're feeling better!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
