Food & Bubbly drink funeral party!

Recommended Posts

I've decided to have a party. And it's called food and bubbly drink funeral. I have all my friends coming for the last of the last. I will be enjoying BEER all night. Since the doc said 2 years before any kind of bubbly. This is my way of celebrating my life change an saying good bye to the bad foods I'll not allow to sabotage my new life with all my supportive friends. Feeling so blessed.

Oh wow, you're lucky to be able to have bubbly in two years. I was told never again :( I don't miss sodas as much as I thought I would except when i see an ice cold can of one of my favorites and there is no bottle of Water available (ie: they had a staff luncheon and a cooler full of sodas including ginger ale. They were ice cold (the way i love) so i felt a little sad.

Aside from that, not having bubbly hasn't been that bad. If this bubble maniac can survive it you can too! Plus you may find you love other drinks that you weren't into before because the bubbly was an option. Fr instance, i absolutely love milk and (diluted) cranberry juice. I used to hate both.

Anyhow, kudos to you for telling your friends! This is a hard process to go through alonee.

Comfy... I am grateful too. However I actually don't drink soda but maybe 2-4 times a month. I'm gonna miss beer. Lol. Hot summer days bbqs and a very cold beer. That's the celebration for my good bye. As far as the 2 yes goes. I don't think I'll drink them I won't wanna stretch my new tummy! Good luck. :-)

That's a fantastic idea! I agree with you...nothing goes better with a hot summer day then an ice cold beer :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
