I will be returning to work in Monday, having just had surgery on Wednesday. I know it is a bit soon, but that is all I can really do.

So, on Monday I am still on thin liquids, and will be for over a week. I do have a mini fridge and microwave in my office.

Any suggestions regarding foods that will work well for this stage, minimal preparation and will give me the energy I need to get through a workday?

So far I'm thinking

Water

Apple juice

Can of broth

I am particularly interested in ideas for Soups. My info from the dr/nutritionist says "thin soups not creamy with no vegetables or meat" other than a plain broth, I'm at a loss on this one.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Think of Soups you normally like, buy them and strain them through a colander. Give your dog what's left or freeze it to make pureed soups for your next phase, or just toss them out. A can of Soup isn't that wasteful, and you're only doing this temporarily. As for work, I absolutely had to have Protein Shakes handy, if you're allowed them. I prefer Atkins dark chocolate for work, and Unjury chocolate for home because I have to mix that one. Good luck!

Thin and not creamy.... Minestrone, strained? Mexican tortilla Soup, strained? I discovered Chinese hot and sour soup this month and loved it.

Thanks ladies. I went to the grocery yesterday and got a squash Soup, French onion soup and a corn chowder I am going to use with my stuck blender.

Be careful with the corn. It doesn't digest well . I got Panera Tomato yesterday, blended and strained. The spice and flavor were terrific after weeks and weeks of bland.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
