Loosing my mind

Recommended Posts

Hello...just needing to vent i guess. I have been working on getting approval for my surgery since Dec. Now that I have it...and got my surgery date scheduled Friday ....for April 17...everything is going so fast!!! I started my liquid diet today. I knew it would be bad....but this is excruciating!!!!! I'm shakey...can't focus...and am completely on edge. I have to work tomorrow and am praying I won't feel quite so bad :think

The first three days of a liquid diet is the hardest. Keep in mind that this is for YOU! That you are worth the effort that this is taking.

Just keep picturing the weight melting off you the moment you start having negative <but normal> thoughts!

YOU CAN DO THIS! Yes, it is hard, Yes, you will want to stop, and yes, the doubts will creep in... Just let all those thoughts walk on by and embrace yourself for the strength you have! Have faith my friend!

Congratulations on your date! I was recently banded and did the 2 week pre op liquid diet. Like Autumn said the first 3 days are the hardest, but it gets easier...and you will be amazed at the weight loss! I lost nearly 20 pounds in those two weeks! A head start on my journey!! You can have the same success...just make sure that you are changing things up so you dont get bored. I got lots of different sugar free popsicles...that seemed very soothing to me! Good luck!!

Jennifer

Make sure you are getting your Protein in. I ordered some different sample packs from both vitalady.com and unjury.com. Find the ones that work for you. You are going to need Protein Shakes for post op also along with after fills. Good luck and congrats on making the choice to be a healthier you.

Is that what the doctor told you to drink? Cuz there is not enough Protein in those to keep a bird alive. You need a minimum of 60 grams. I drank EAS Protein Powder, but others have different stuff that is also good. There is something called whey Protein Shots which I have not tried, but wish I knew about before. I think there is another powder called Max50. Anyway, you might want to ask your doctor again, I think you need something more than slimfast.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
