Moody Much? And a question to all my Curvy Girls?

So the counselor and dietician warned me about the possibility of my moods being affected by this kind of weight loss and how rapidly its happening. I can't seem to get my thumb on it tho, did anyone else have this issue. I'm trying to decide whether its my normal moody nature or if its being amplified by this process. Thoughts anyone?

Also, I'm beginning to see how my body is changing and as a woman, I want to be healthy but also maintain that feminine shape and figure. I essentially want to keep my exact shape and shrink it to a healthy weight. I still want boobs and supple thighs and all of that sooo to all my ladies out there with hips and thighs and butts, did you find you were still curvy once all of the weight dropped off?

Some of the mood changes can be because of estrogen level changes as you lose weight. Estrogen is stored in fat cells so losing fat effects your levels.

Not at goal yet but, my hips, thighs and butt are still there...just smaller. :)

I am moody....borderline depressed. Not quite sure why, since I seem to be fine with my loss to date. I'm thinking I should just go to the doc and let her put me back on Welbutrin. And for your other comment...my boobs seem to be shrinking along with the rest of me, but since they weren't that big to begin with....I'm noticing it more!

People around me say I'm moody and that my attitude as changed.... Honestly I think their right... But it's because I've changed... I'm getting healthier and I'm finding out new things about myself as my weight comes off......... I think people around me hasn't caught up to my personal changes in life......... As I lose weight I'm seeing life in a different way................ All I can say is I'm happier now then I been in 10 yrs.......... And I wasn't unhappy before.................. I was sleeved 11/20/13 and I'm down 78lbs..

I also wanted to add....... I lost in all those areas first.... Boobs gone, ass gone, hips gone....... Stomach still here..... Lol. Good luck though we are all different

I've been having mood swings as of late. One minute I would be depressed, then happy or angry about petty things. I mean even got irritated with people just speaking x.x it just comes and goes.

Before surgery and this new way of eating, tranquilizers in the form of chocolate and potato chips were available. Now they are pretty much gone. At least that's how I rationalize the occasional temper tantrum.

I've tried to curb my moodiness since surgery. It bugs me that my thighs and huge butt are not departing as much as my abdomen and boobs. Also, having an 8 week period (YES, 8 weeks) really sucked!!! I was told it was the release of hormones that caused it. My poor husband has been suffering since my surgery.

Yes, the mood and the emotions are very common for right after weight loss. It will get better.

I have been a moody crazy person. I'm just wondering when do I become "normal" again?

I have been an emotional hot mess since my VSG. From what I have read on this and other boards, it seems to be pretty normal. Hopefully all of this will subside in due time. Another thing that I have noticed since surgery is that my sense of smell is highly elevated. That is bothering nearly as much as the mood swings.

@@Bridgette Black the extra moodiness is from weight loss. You're body is hungry even though you don't feel it physically and this plays a major role in how we feel. Not only that as your fat cells release they also release stored hormones, which might even mess with your cycle. Double whammy. It does calm down in time, not to worry.

I am also a curvy girl and I ended up losing a lot of my boobs, but my butt just got cuter. My thighs have always been thick and they stayed that way too. You should turn out lovely!! I got a breast augmentation anyway and they came out great. Good luck!

I been very emotional too. want to cry at different things. well stated to get out the house and driving, walking now so it better now. I guess anyway should be back to work next week... so far so good I guess weight loss moving slow only lost a 4 pound since been home 14 days post op.. don't know what the stall is about, try not to worry i read it normal to stall to let your body caught up while it healing. people tell me they can see in my face and low body my stomach is still large not happy about that. well maybe my walking will start to change things .....
