    Shoe size

Do your feet get smaller with weight loss? I am 5'3" and wear a size 11 wide width shoe. I don't want to get little and have huge feet Lol!
  2. I use a straw sometimes (against my doctors orders) but if I drink too fast my stomach gets full of air and makes me very uncomfortable. No fun :-(

    Where are my Flirty Thirties?

I'm a flirty 33 year old lady from near St. Louis, MO. I am a s/w/f never married, and no kids. I was sleeved April 7th, 2014. If you would like to chat send me a message. I'm not usually interested in men much older than myself, I actually prefer guys a little younger than me. Again, if you'd like to chat shoot me a message :-) My name is JessEca or Jess.

    MO - St. Louis

I live in Franklin county MO. Are there any other people in my area? I live a little over an hour from St. Louis or St. Charles. I'd prefer something more local.

    Could hard stools ruin sleeve?

It won't hurt your sleeve but if you push to hard you can get hemroids. I suggest taking a stool softener daily. Also, are you drinking plenty of water? At least 8 cups of water a day.

    Every time....

I guess everyday will be a struggle but at least now I'm trying. Now I'm fighting for my life and not just merely existing.

    Every time....

Every time I eat something I feel guilty. I keep telling myself I HAVE TO EAT! but my mind keeps saying YOU DON'T NEED THAT, DON'T EAT THAT! Ugh! I'm 19 weeks out from surgery as of Monday. I've lost around 50ish pounds. I do 45 min of cardio 4-5 times a week and core and weight exercise every other day. I stay between 1000-1200 calories a day and get well over 60 grams of protein. I eat between 4-6oz of food before I feel full (restriction). I'm so hard on myself but shouldn't I be? I've pretty much stopped weighing myself except for maybe once a month. I just don't want to fail. I'm so afraid of stretching my stomach. I wonder if there is a test your surgeon can perform to see if you have stretched it back out? These are just my feelings/thoughts. Sometimes it helps just to put things out there :-) Thanks for reading/listening.

    Bad day!

Definitely! I hate it! I'm going through it right now and feel so guilty and like a huge loser!

    Remember....

I actually need to update my weight. I am currently 280 :-) and thank you very much! :-)

    Remember....

Remember, although we should be striving to do our best and making the most out of our new little tummies, do not let one bad day or one bad weekend destroy what you have come so far to accomplish! Most of us have struggled with severe obesity all of our lives and it will take the rest of our, now longer, lives to get and maintain our healthy weight. We can do this! One day, one hour, one minute, one second at a time! Have a great weekend and a healthier future. :-)

    Motion sickness and the sleeve

I find I get dizzier and nauseous more often post sleeve than pre sleeve. Weird!
  13. Enjoy it while it lasts because after surgery there is a good chance you won't go as often as you do now. It sucks!

    Alternative to biotin

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe prenatal vitamins?
  15. Is there a stall every 3 weeks? Im 6 weeks out today and have not lost a pound in 8 days! I get over 60 grams of protein a day and I work out vigorously!!! What gives!? I've only lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks! I started at 330. I thought I would be losing more, faster. I'm so frustrated! I guess I'm doomed to be a fatty no matter what I do!

    Does anyone's chest feel weird?

I also get the fluttering feeling and it freaks me out for a brief second. I have no ideal what it is unless it's gas. Idk. If you find any answers, please share with us. Thank you :-)

Advil pm, yikes are we allowed?

P.s. ulcers is the reason our doctors say no to NSAIDS. Aspirin, Excedrin, Advil are all examples of nsaids. The bottle should clearly state if a medication contains any nsaids.

Advil pm, yikes are we allowed?

2 Advil shouldn't cause any ulcers but I do recommend getting them out of your house. Tylenol is not an nsaid. Don't feel stupid! This is a learning process and takes time. One day at a time, one sip at a time, one bite at a time. Hang in there! We've got this!!
  19. I just read the first few statements. Partial truths but definitely a scare tactic. For instance I don't get diarhea, I get more constipated and I have never thrown up since surgery. My journey so far has been great! You must mentally prepare yourself. I had to do a strictly liquid diet for two weeks before surgery and two weeks after surgery. That's s whole month of just liquids! I also joined a gym and actually went! Several times a week! You also want a rock solid support system. It can be one person or many but I do not recommend this surgery with no help. Not just physical help but mentally. My support team was mainly my sister. Without her I would have had to go to a psych ward. The mental state after surgery has been the worst part of this procedure. 3 months out yesterday and down 50 pounds :-) This is a life changing event and for it to be successful you still have to work hard every day. The surgery itself is just a helpful tool.

    Whats your "full" signal?

Mine seems to be shortness of breath followed by a deep breath or yawn.

    4th of July Challenge

    Abdominal pain since staples removed

I had glue and stitches. I'm glad I didn't have staples. Would have freaked me out I think. The stitches were gross enough! Lol!

Two Week Post Surgery - Hubby Gift

That's very cute and thoughtful. Thank God for supportive family and friends. My surgery has thus far brought my younger sister and I closer together. I'm very thankful for that. :-)
  24. Thanks for sharing! I'll have to check them out :-)

    Acne after surgery?

I never had any huge acne problems until after surgery. The doctor said it was not related to the surgery. Maybe not from the surgery itself but the change in diet and exercise, hormones, stress, etc., I had the worse acne i'd ever had about a month after surgery. My advice is, After working out and sweating, wash your face with antibacterial soap or a cleanser that has benzoid peroxide in it. Also, if you are taking biotin, lower your dose. I was taking 5000iu a day. I've halved that to 2,500iu. My face is much better. I always make sure to take the time to wash my face after a workout or if my skin just feels oily. I'm 15 weeks out Monday.
