One week - Happy but battling myself mentally
Hi everyone!! Hope everyone's journey is going REALLY well whether you're waiting for surgery or have already been sleeved. Today marks 7 days since I started the 2 day pre op liquid diet (surgery on June 6th). I stepped on the scale this morning and found that I have lost 20lbs in the last week. While I had that moment of "OMG! That's awesome!! I'm happy!". Then I fall back into the "I'm still a major fattie though" and start doubting if the scale is "teasing me". I know this is part of the process...there is the difficulty of leaving the "big girl" vision behind but when does it happen?? And how do you really help yourself to break that mental block?

3 Days Post Op
Thank you for all the guidance and tips. I too am 4 days post op and have already started the muscle milk. But were you all able to get in 70-80 grams a day on top of your liquids and vitamin doses?

3 Days Post Op
So far I've been doing pretty good since surgery. I'm just having a hard time with the 70-80 grams of protein. I like the cytosport drinks - I used to like the Isopure but post surgery they tasted icky. How are you all getting the 70-80 grams of protein in each day without feeling like the protein drinks are overly sweet?

June 2014 Sleevers Check In!
I was the exact same way. Just know once you do the scope (and it's VERY easy) the surgery feels like a breeze

I'm still feeling fantastic!! When I first joined this site it was so helpful to read everyone's stories and experiences. It really prepared me for what to expect just in case. I'm just so blessed that it went so well and recovery has been smooth. Thank you for all of the support!! OH and P.S. I've completed 16 laps around my medical ward "block" because I feel so good!!

Still feeling awesome. No pain right now and I've done a total of 4 laps around my ward. After reading some of the stories of others I prayed for an easy surgery and recovery. I think I had the best luck ever!!
