  1. Do you think I stretched my new stomach?
  2. I'm 5 weeks out and last night over the period of a cpl hours I nearly ate a whole bag of these little cheese cracker things! Which came to be more than 1000 calories! I was bored. I'm a boredom eater :-( Now I'm worried I've already stretched my new stomach. Words cannot even begin to explain how disgusted I am in myself. Been crying since last night. I'm frustrated because I thought the smaller stomach was suppose to keep me from eating so much. I feel like such a failure. ;-(
  3. I go to the doctor Thursday and I'll ask her then what she thinks. Hopefully soon!
  4. Thank you! I love the bike! I started biking a few months b4 my surgery. I started at 20 minutes and I thought it was going to kill me! Lol! Good luck with your insurance approval!
  5. I was just wondering when I can start working on my core? I want to do sit ups and such but I don't know if that will hurt the new little tummy. I already ride a stationary bike for 55 minutes (working up to an hour) 5 days a week. I'm ready to get rid of this big belly flab!!! I'll be 5 weeks out Monday :-)
  6. Congrats! That's awesome! If you don't mind my asking, how much did you weigh when your journey started?
  7. I'm 33 years old and just over 4 weeks out of surgery. I started on the bike at the gym 2 weeks out. I only go up to level 6 but started out gradually. I would say if you try it and it hurts AT ALL, STOP!! I am an amateur rider. I have not done any spin classes. I just love to ride the bike :-) Always listen to your doctor, even if it sucks. Lol!
  8. I bowled last night and had no pain at all. It was just like before I even had surgery :-) Thanks for the input everyone. Good bless
  9. I'm asking because with skim milk my 8oz shakes are 250 calories. I haven't tried making them with Water but it sounds kind of gross to me and now that I'm used to the milk, I don't know that I could stomach the water. I really need to get a hold of my NUT. She's on pregnancy leave but she needs to hook me up with a co worker or something! Thanks for the replies.
  10. I am 4 weeks today =) I'm really looking forward to it but if I start to hurt at all I'm telling my league sorry and I will forfeit for the night.
  11. Great! I just cut out 80-85% of my second brain. SMH! Drrrr! Lol!
  12. How far out from surgery are you now?
  13. I also would like to join a local support group. I am an hour and 15 minutes west from down town STL. If we could meet in Eureka somewhere that would be cool. :-) Please keep me posted. Thanks!
  14. If it was just a sip nothing will happen. No worries love. You may get a little gas but that's about all. :-) Don't make habit of drinking carbonated drinks as it can stretch your tummy and alcohol is just not good for your little tummy :-) be well
  15. I am in an amateur woman's bowling league and have taken off for 4 weeks. I hope to bowl this coming Monday. My ball is 9-10 lbs. My doctor is cool with it as long as I don't start hurting. Did anyone else bowl 4 weeks out?
  16. How many calories does your 8oz protein shake have including the milk if applicable? And what kind of shake do you use? Where do you get your shakes? And general cost? Thank you :-)
  17. Hello, I'm in my early 30's and since I've had surgery and dropped 32 pounds I have been breaking out on my face like I were a teen in puberty! Anyone else have this problem? Why do you suppose this is happening now?
  18. Thank you for this post. I started my journey @ 332#'s and will be 4 weeks out Monday and am down 32 #'s. I have my days when I struggle with my decisions and other days I feel great. I really hope I have as much success as you have. God bless you fellow sleever.
  19. I don't see a photo :-( i also weigh 300# so we have the same amount of weight to lose. :-)
  20. I get over 60 grams of protein a day. 2 shakes and whatever else I eat that has protein like yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.,
  21. I was hungry last night so I ate a few small bites of a sub sandwich and a few Pringles. I feel so guilty! I chewed everything really well and it wasn't a lot. I hate when my sister brings food over especially when I'm having a weak day. No more! I didn't have this surgery to stay fat so I'm going to try harder. I'm doing this for myself and my health. Sorry guys :-( I feel like not only did I let myself down I let all of you down. I'll do my best to stick to the program.
  22. Last Monday I was at 299.8 this week I am at 300.2. Apparently I am on the dreaded 3rd week stall. GRRRRR!!!
  23. Do I have to let you know every Monday how much I weigh? Or just on Memorial day?
