    Celebrate bariatric chewables

    My supplements are still available.
  2. Have the Celebrate multi-complete with iron, b12 sublingual, calcium plus, and GNC be-beautiful chews with biotin. All berry/cherry type flavored. All are almost full. I can't tolerate the sucralose in them. I would like to recoup some of the expense of the supplements but don't want them to go to waste either. Make offer

    Celebrate bariatric chewables

I am in Texas and yes I would be interested in the clothes! Size 20 is getting too big so I need some smaller clothes! I have PayPal and would gladly pay the shipping costs. I have done that twice now from women in my Facebook support group. Thanks!

    February Sleevers.... Check in!

My surgery date was 2/26 and I have slowed down too...HW 337. SW 280. CW 245 I have lost 35 pounds but my surgeon said if I lift weights my weight loss will be slower. I lift 4-5 times a week with at least 30 minutes of cardio. I'm ok with the slow losing since that will let my skin have time to "catch up". I am off of all my diabetic meds including insulin. My fasting sugars are all 80s range. I'm off my BP meds and have had a little problem with my pressure being too low. My resting heart rate has dropped from 80-90 down to 45-55. Also going into the surgery I had mild to moderate congestive heart failure and now the cardiologist said I have no more signs of heart failure!! So no more meds for that either!! I have gone from a size 26/28 to a size 18/20 as well. So just because the scale isn't moving fast doesn't mean I'm not doing well...actually I think my surgery has been a tremendous success!!! I am so grateful for my sleeve and the wonderful life it has given back to me!!! Now I just have to stick with the program!!
  7. Congrats!! I can't wait to get there myself!!
  8. Some of the mood changes can be because of estrogen level changes as you lose weight. Estrogen is stored in fat cells so losing fat effects your levels.

    OR nurse's story

Hi Chris! I am an ER nurse 44yo female also with a life long weight battle. Last summer I spent five weeks in the hospital with asthma, CHF, diabetes and hypertension. I was working myself to death and topped the scales at 337 pounds. I knew I had two options ...change my ways or plan my funeral. Today I am 7 weeks post-op VSG. I weigh 252. I am off all meds except asthma controllers and lasix ...the includes insulin! I haven't felt this good since my teens! The surgery is challenging and can be painful but it is so worth it!!! It literally saved my life and it will be a huge help for you too in your quest to get healthy! Good luck tomorrow and I will be saying a nurses prayer for you! We will make room for you here on the losers bench! Teri

    Clothes - what to do?

I have found clothes on Craigslist too. I have bought a few "garbage bags" full of clothes cheap. I just go through them and keep what I want then pass the rest on to my sisters who are around he same size. Also I just buy jeans and t-shirts from Walmart. They are very inexpensive! I want to save my big clothes shopping event for later when I'm close to my goal weight!

    February Sleevers.... Check in!

Hi y'all! I was sleeved 2/26 and have done well so far. Here are my stats: HW 337 SW 280.5 CW 259 Size 28 at highest weight Size 22 currently Only having problems with a few foods...potatoes of any kind don't go down well but that's ok since they are terrible for my blood sugar! Oh I am also off all meds (including insulin) for diabetes and high blood pressure!! I can exercise again without feeling like I am dying and I played racquetball this weekend with my boys for the first time in years!! Overall I have to say I love my new little tummy!!!
  13. Congrats Jeremiah! It sounds like you are doing very well! I read the comments here every night before bed to help me stay positive and focused on losing the weight and getting healthy. I was sleeved on 2/26/14 and have lost 20 pounds since then (77 pounds total this year). I have two small victories to share with you. The first is that I had 3 pairs of workout pants that I loved but they have been too tight to wear for the past 8 years....well I put them on this week and they are too big!! I couldn't believe it!! The second victory is that I have not had to take insulin, metformin, or anti hypertensive medications since my surgery!! My blood sugars and blood pressures have been normal since I got home from the hospital .... Woohoo!!
  14. I live between Nacogdoches, Lufkin, and Jacksonville...it would be nice to meet some local sleevers!

    Best decision ever

    Congrats!! That's amazing work!
  16. Compare the light and fat free...the fat free often has more sugar/carbs

    Starting liquids tomorrow

GNC will take back open protein powders. They will sometimes have ones you can taste before buying too. The liquid diet isn't that bad. I just got some different creamy soups and some herbal teas for variety. Everyone on this site has done it and you can too!! Good luck!
  20. My nutritionist said I could have a sip or two with meals if needed but not to drink a whole glass of something.

    Lots of NSVs!

Horses are the best aromatherapy on the planet! Lol being able to ride comfortably is one of my reasons for having the surgery! I'm only two and a half weeks out but I feel I am we'll on my way to being able to ride again...I can't wait!

    Steristrips?

Leave those on and let them come off on their own. You can trim the ends off if they start to peel off but don't pull them off

    4days post surgery questions

I'm two weeks post op and had a lot of itching around my incisions. I have been putting vitamin E oil around them but not on the incision line and it has helped a lot.
