How are the ones who got sleeved the first week in april?

Recommended Posts

HI there,

Congrats on your 80, I have lost almost 75 - I am around 170lbs now. I would like to get to155lbs. So I have a bit of work to do still. I have had a lot of stalls then I lose sometimes up to 5lbs in a week after a stall. I have lost really slowly the past 6 weeks.

I have had a consult for a corset Tummy Tuck and breast lift, which I hope to get done in January. I am working towards my goal weight to be ready for my next phase in life. Other than that I am super happy with my results and for making the decision to remove the band and go to the sleeve.

i was sleeved april 29, and have lost 84 pounds since surgery (276 starting to 192 today) - SO happy! several bad stalls though, and they get depressing, even though i'm awfully happy these days and proud of myself. I love having so much energy and that I finally really like exercsing...wow, did I say that?! :) Great to see how well everyone is doing. I'm really incredibly glad i did this, and VERY grateful for this terrific online community. You guys rock!

Hi. I was sleeved April first. I've had kind of a rough go of it, but I have lost 95 pounds. Size 22/24 to a 14 in pants. 27 more to go, but I'm not sure that goal is realistic because it is what I weighed in my 20s and I didn't have all the extra skin. So it might be a little too skinny for optimal health. Weight loss has definitely slowed down lately, but still coming off without me really trying. I NEVER feel hungry anymore. I eat because I know I need to and because I want to. Anyway, it's nice to finally be all the way healed and know what I can and can't eat. And I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. I had a closet full of smaller clothes that fit me, but are all out of style now - shoulder pads & pleated pants? no - time to donate. But it's hard for me to justify buying any new clothes right now because I don't know where I am going to end up. The thrift store is my friend right now! I still haven't wrapped my head around the new me and frequently do not recognize myself in the mirror and am ecstatic when I can tie my shoes without holding my breath.

April 1 was my day. I haven't had any real problems, just some "learning" experiences on what to avoid and learning when to stop eating. I have become a regular exerciser and feel great. Down 100 pounds. Not sure what my goal will be - maybe another 20 pounds. I too have become a big fan of thrift shops...buy cheap, wear a month or two and donate them back and buy a smaller size. Life is good!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
