How is everyone preparing? Have you told your friends, family or coworkers. I have told very few people because I don't want anyone giving me added anxiety or reasons not to so it. The people I have told are supportive and that's enough for me.

You guys?

I agree. I have only told a few people. I have enough doubts and fears that I don't need anyone else adding to it!! Lol

I really am ready for a change!!

Tomorrow is a new day. Don't beat yourself up. If it makes you feel any better I am eating like I'm going to the electric chair!!! Many food funerals and I don't plan on stopping until my pre op liquid diet on 4/23.

Well, my surgery center called today and told me I could have my sleeve done April 29th or May 5th. I'm leaning towards the 5th. I'm just very concerned that my son's birthday is the 15th....only 10 days after and I have no idea how I'll be. :/

I had pizza tonight too! I've been very good with eating healthy the last 3 weeks and tonight I just needed a break. My date is May 6th also and I'll be starting my liquid diet April 22nd so I figure dinner tonight isn't all that bad in the grand scheme of things :) I hope the next few weeks go by faster than this week has though.

Hello,

I had my EGD Monday April 7th. It went well and they found a hiatal hernia so now my insurance is going to pay for a majority of my sleeve surgery. I am impatiently waiting for my surgery date. Fingers crossed for early May : )

The small amount of people I told are the ones I thought would support me however I only have this group and just a few people I've told, the rest I've told aren't happy I'm doing this, I guess they don't understand, oh well I'm happy for me and I have all of my bariatric family here which is plenty and enough for me! XOXO :D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
