  1. I was sleeved 5/19 and am down 50lbs. I only weigh myself at dr appts and religiously use my fitness pal to monitor Protein. For people using my fitness pal what do you set your carb, protein fat ratio to? I am losing hair but not a lot and I have thick hair so so far nothing noticeable. I eat minimal carbs but do like a bite or toe here and there. If I'm not eating protein I feel guilty!
  2. I'm 5 1/2 weeks out but it feels like years have passed. My acid reflux is gone and I lost 24 pounds at my one month check up. I'm not feeling hunger the same but every 2 hours I need to eat something. I rely pretty heavily on dairy for protein and it's hard to make it to 80grams of protein. How are people getting their protein in? People using shakes? I tried an unjury strawberry yesterday and hated it. Vanilla was ok. I am also working hard to stay hydrated which is harder when it's hot out - I need more than 64 oz but it's hard to fit it in while observing the 30 min before and after rule. How is everyone?

  4. What phone apps are people using to track food intake and exercise ? I'd really like one that can track my protein.
  5. Nina- I'm May 19th too. On day 14 clear liquids. I start purée on Tuesday. Last couple days I've had some bad acid reflux feeling at the top of my throat that I've never had before. Not sure if it's because I'm so sick of clear liquids or something else. Really looking forward to purée Marni

  7. I'm on day eleven of clear liquids (including day of surgery). I'm tired but have energy once or twice a day and I'm spent afterwards. I have 4 more days til I progress to purée and I can't wait for it. I think I'll start with eggs and chicken salad. How have people been tolerating spices, herbs and distinct flavors? While currently I would eat anything with texture - I am trying to plan ahead for healthy but tasty eating. Anyone try eating spicy? I love spicy but my surgeon said I might not be able to handle it. 10. Sandi I am exhausted! I have moments of energy followed by hours of exhaustion and I'm on day 8 of only clear liquids. A week from today I can have my first purée and I am so excited. The steak purée and marinated chicken idea sounded incredible. I'm hungry and not hungry at the same time. Haven't told many people and people are trying to make lunch and dinner plans and I don't know what to say since I want to socialize but can't eat. Find a broth only restaurant?

  12. I'm still a week away from mushy foods but went to a BBQ today. Was ok through main BBQ food but when the 10 diff desserts came out I was fiending. I'm loving hearing about people experimenting with their mushy foods. My diet is 80% powerade zero and G2. Alternated by broth, crystal light and water. And Popsicles. Made a slushee of ensure clear peach doctored with crystal light and it was palatable. i made Popsicles with it not as good.

  14. I wish I was allowed cream soups but my dr sticks with clears for 2 weeks and then creams and mush. After your psych is done and papers are received by your dr office your papers can be submitted to insurance - then wait for the approval. Can take from days to weeks

  16. I have sugar free at home but was out with my kids fiending for something. I skipped because I'm petrified of the pain.
  17. Had surgery Monday and I'm stuck in 2 weeks of Clear liquids. I'm feeling very jealous and deprived when I see people eating Solids and regular food. Anyone feel like this? Tell me about regular foods you can eat past the 6 week mark. Tell me once in a while you taste something sweet or crunchy. Please!!

  19. What is a smooth cream soup? I have 2 weeks of clear liquids.
  20. Would a Popsicle that's not sugar free be a bad idea? Would it hurt?

  22. I mean 2 weeks w only clear liquids. I have dr visit tomorrow and will check in. My dr just worries about liquid intake and not protein intake during initial 2 weeks but I'm taking chicken broth too. I tried ensure clear but found it disgusting.
  23. I'm feeling scared and frustrated - this hurts more than I thought it would and I wonder if I made the right decision. My weight was out of control almost 300lbs and I needed a change. Hard to get my liquids in today... Did not make 48 oz. can't imagine another week and a half of clear liquids!! Help me guys! MB
