Please let me know if you are planning on attending the meeting for tomorrow, Wednesday. If low attendance again, I will cancel.

Should we wait till summer is over to continue these meetings? Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Due to lack of confirmed attendance, tonight's meeting is cancelled. I am not going to schedule another meeting until the end of summer - perhaps this is one of the reasons for the lack of attendance. We'll try this again in the fall. Have a great summer and stay healthy!

I'd like it if we could have a St. Charles County group, since the St. Louis groups are always too far away.

I had RNY done in 2009 at DePaul. I went from 277 down to 147. I've been as low as 127, but I'm back at 147-150 right now and I'm trying to get back down to the 140 mark.

I would attend a St. Charles group. I go the support group meetings at DePaul each month and will continue. But I would also attend a St. Charles meeting too.

I wouldn't attend a St. Charles group. Too far for me. I'd prefer something more centralized.

I live in Franklin county MO. Are there any other people in my area? I live a little over an hour from St. Louis or St. Charles. I'd prefer something more local.

This thread hasn't had any updates on it for several months so I'm not sure if they are still meeting. If you don't hear back from the leader here, there are support group meetings available in the St. Louis area. I attend one in Collinsville when I can. Theres usually 10-20 people there. 2nd and 4th Thursday's of the month. Open to anyone who has had or is planning on having surgery. You're always welcome there.

Best wishes on your success!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
