3 days post op can't hold too much liquids without feeling stuffed

I just got back from Mexico today. I live in florida and i flew from san diego to las vegas to atlanta to tallahassee it was a very stressful long trip.

My incisions are healing very well i have no appetite and i can drink very little at a time and this worries me that i can drink so little at a time and right away i feel pressure in my left shoulder. on the plane i tried to drink coffee to open my stoma up but i don't think it worked, i felt as stuffed as i do on thanksgiving after a few ounces of liquid (about 6-8ounces). i can hold such little liquid is this normal? I'm not complaining because due to this i have no apetite i just want to know what you guys think compared to what you felt 3 days after surgery.

thanks

Seems like I read somewhere that flying can affect your swelling. Maybe you'll feel better tomorrow. Nevertheless, just keep sipping and try to get some Protein down...one way or the other.

I'm two days post op and am not having those issues although I just ate some real food (cream of wheat) this morning...I haven't been hungry at all. Just making myself eat at this point.

I'm only 7 days out myself and everytime I eat I feel FULL. :) I'm glad cause I sure thought it would be hard to tell full, but nope, full is full...LOL. It only comes after about 6-8 oz. of Soups, liquids, etc. so I figure that's normal. I am paying attention to how my body responds to things and trying to make sure I don't overdo. Keep yer chin up! :clap2:

thanks for the advice guys! i can only take in about 4-8oz max and this alarmed me at first since i'm used to eating way more than that but now its day 6 & as i see and the pounds coming off and i'm seeing this as not such a bad thing, i guess it all takes some getting used to thanks for the support.
